English speech contest

To ESS members: Good job during your speeches!! You guys must have given so nice speeches!!

Now I want to answer Brianne's question:
Have you ever attended an English speech contest?

Yes! I participated in English speech contests six times so far.
I took part in the English speech contests held at the English conversation school that I went to for six years, in my hometown, and in my high school.

When I delivered the English speech for the first time, I got very nervous. As I delivered English speeches many times, however, I came to regard them as something fun because I found that delivering an English speech could improve my English skills and how interesting expressing myself is.

Giving an English speech is hard, but it also improves ourselves, right?
