cross-cultural communication

I also think it is difficult to communicate with people in other countries. Although there is a nonverbal communication style, we need some words to tell our thoughts or feelings. I think if you are good at grammar in English, it is not so important for the conversations with Americans or other foreigners. We also need to improve our skills of speaking and listening. It is not a easy thing to do in short time. However, I also think we need to think that we really want to know them or want to tell our thoughts. If you think so, sometimes they can understand you just a few words you say.

I think most people have some stereotypes of foreigners, too. I know some people who think all Japanese know animated cartoons and comics (manga) well. However, in fact, not all Japanese are good at it.
Communicate with foreigners is sometimes hard, but it is interesting for me. I can get new ideas or information from them and can know different cultures of other countries.
