Answers on Tailand transgender power

1. What's Crystal's job? What does she do?
She works for L'Occitane. She is the manager at one of the branch.

2. What are some more interesting things about Crystal.
Her mother is a professor and her father is a doctor. She loved boy and wanted to be a woman in
     her childhood.
She is beautiful. In addition, she is very friendly to anyone and works well. Her colleagues and the
chief at work didn't know that she was a transgendered person.

3. What happened to Crystal?
On June 22th in 2007, Crystal went toConcept CM2 nightclub in Bangkok Novotel Symptom
Hotel. When she tried to do inside, she was asked to show her visa. Then the club said no to go
inside because she is a transgendered person.

4. What was the big change happened to the constitution in Thailand?
On August 19th in 2007, the rights of both transgendered person and gay people are approved for
the first time in the Thailand's history.

5. How about Japan compared to Thailand?
Japan doesn't allow us to marry same gender person. Thus, if parents have the same gender, they
and their daughters/sons aren't regarded as a family in law.  In that, I can say Japan may not
consider it positively.  However I think that gay people and transgendered person are now getting
accepted to Japanese people in various reasons. We see many gay or transgendered person in
TV show. They are very positive and we have good impression on them. I hope that Japan
will have equal rights for them in the near future.
