good evening

About love.....
To tell you the truth I think I'm too young to understand it yet.
There are people that makes me wonder how fun it will be to go
out with, but I don't think you would call that love.

Even if I do understand I think I won't be able to put it in words.

By the way, I love the songs you put ANTHONY!!!
Nice taste lol

Golden Weeeek\(^^)/

One more day and it's Golden Weeeek!!! Hooooray^^ I' m going to a concert in Sendai with my best friend. As you know, I love Johnny's Jr. and this concert is of course, Johnny's Jr's . lol Do you know Hey!Say!JUMP? I' m not a fan of them, but my BF is so I'm going with her. We're also sightseeing so I'm exited about this, too!! It's my first time to visit Sendai. I hope it'll be fun. Do u have any plans for GW?

cross culturral communication

I want to introduce some interesting gestures used in several countries.

For example, the OK sign (formed by circling the index finger and the

thumb) and the Good luck sign (formed by closing the fist with the thumb

pointed up) may have positive meanings in the U.S., but are considered

obscene in some South American countries. In Japan, the OK sign, with

circled fingers facing to the outside, means money.

Another example is the gesture for Come Here, or the beckoning sign,

which differs across the cultures. To beckon someone with the palm up

is common in the United States, but is considered rude in some Asian

countries, where the gesture would indicate calling an animal.

I think it is very interesting the same gestures have the different

meanings depending on the region.

By the way, I think gyoutenya in Machida is good ramen shop,

Taichiro.

RAMEN

I went to ramen shop with my friends yesterday. I ate TONKOTU ramen and small DONBURI.
That's so delicious!!!! I was so satisfied. My favorite food is ramen and MENMA.
Also one friend ate big ramen and DONBURI. The other ate TUKEMEN. We had really good time.

I want to eat delicious ramen, so please tell me good shop!!

I have a questions..

I'm now thinking of Human relationships in university. I think that relations in univ is more choosable than in high school or junior high school. What do you think about it? and I think relations on the internet with unknown person, for example skype or myspace, is little scarly. How do you think about this?

What can I get for 10 dollars? : Anything you want!

I can proudly say I'm a good listener. I sat through some of the most boring conversations today and still managed to ask the best questions. I teach English but we aren't allowed to use Japanese. One lady just sat there staring at me so I figured she didn't understand me. After explaining what I think about horses (yes, I had to pretend I was really fascinated in horses) she didn't say anything so I gave up and tried to explain in Japanese right before she mildly snapped at me for using Japanese. In the end she started asking me questions like "Are you Japanese?" I lied and said "No, I'm from Sri Lanka" she asked "Then why are you speaking to me in Japanese? Please don't use Japanese." I wanted to laugh because not is she only just making matters worse for the both of us, but shes also proving how she has too much pride in her self. (In a bad way) .....Well excuse me! But it definitely isn't my fault that you don't react to anything I say.
Bottom line : When you're talking with someone, you have to show that you are listening(facial expressions, gestures etc etc). And if you're poker faced, at least say something!

Thanks to that client, I'm back to listening to my Metal CDs!
I love Metal because it teaches you how to be open and not narrow minded. It tells you that you are capable of taking control of your life. Whenever I have a friend who is down or upset, I tell them that's because they don't have metal in their life. When you listen to metal, you feel invincible! If I have a problem, I just burn it and use that as power. Anger and hatred is my fuel.
Gelato is my fuel as well.

But I always have room for a softer side :

Love [noun] : 1. What makes you blind. 2. What hate can be in disguise. 3. Something that just happens. 4. Something ugly. 5. Something a person like me has not right to define.

Tired

Just got back from my first archery practice and like the title suggests I'm starting to come crashing down like an airplane...sans wings. Actually it was my first practice, they let me come right after I handed in my application paper (to their surprise, apparently most people visit them first to see what it's like, oops). I chose to join the archery club because of the influence from my grandma I guess, since she does kyudo (Japanese archery). What's interesting is that she too was influenced by her grandfather, who apparently was the stable hand for the shogun and would occasionally go hunting with him (although I have to admit I'm a bit skeptical of the credibility of this). That's about it for now, I swear I'll make a post about human relations and love in the near future.

P.S. is there a way to edit our posts?

To Yuri

One of my friend is thinking of joining sagasai-jikkouin, too. She's very nice so I'm sure you guys will be good friends. Don't worry about your friends. I know girls tend to do stuffs in groups, but I think that is just wrong. If there's something you really wanna do, than you should go for it! Good luck^^

Happy and shock..

I went to beauty salon today for coloring and cutting my hair a little (^^)!! I like going it because I can feel refreshed by changing myself. Besides I enjoyed talking with the hairdresser. These are today’s happy side!!

Then I went to part-time job I started newly these days in order to check shift during May. It was shocking for me that I cannot work part- time jobs four times in May though I want to work it at least twelve times. I will be in trouble for lack of money in June (.> <) what shall I do????? Should I work another part-time job? I am disturbed whether I can work two part-time job and study homework…

Translate

My dad has a lot of business trips (about twice a month so he's barely home), and he has to write a report about it every time he gets back. My dad told me it would be a good practice for translation. So, I translated what he wrote in English into Japanese. It was pretty interesting but also tough because there were a lot of technical terms, and at the same time I had a lot of homework to do. But in return, my dad gave me a music gift card worth 2000yen. So, I'm thinking of what to buy with that gift card:)

P.S. - Mr. Oinky from Mexico is making serious problems, isn't he!!

Today is Wednesday!!

Though I went to University today to attend a juristic lecture , it was canceled urgently after waiting for 1 hour. I was very shocked and wanted the professor to inform us of that sooner .....

Thank you for answering my question in detail , Shunta and sorry to delay in saying thank you!!

Oh really?? I have a friend in Sophia University. I will ask her about the professior. By the way , I was amazed to know Kazuyoshi Yamanouchi is famous in English History because I took a English History lecture of Shinichi Takeichi last year. Do you know him? I want to take the Mr. Yamanouchi' s lecture now , but that of Mr Takeuchi was good for me because I learned so many things I hadn't known thanks for this lecture.
I also didn't know Quirk et al and the name of Minoji Akimoto is in the book(It's amazing!!) , so I will check it out!!
Thank you very very much for telling me the books about English language!!

And... thank you for agreeing with my opinion about Human Relations , Yuri!!!

I think the feeling you have for your boyfriend is very wonderful and want to support your statement!! But I think if his/her affections change , the world they see will also vary.
What do you think?

I have to take on part-time job today. It's hard but I will work as hard as I can!!

Oh ! I want to ask one question to Yurika!!

I love the song called "Kanashi" sung by RADWIMPS!! Do you know it?

Thank you Yurika and Yusaku

To Yurika!
Thank you sooo much for your advice. How kind you are!!!
I thought about it all the time and I decided to try sagasai-jikkoiin even there's no friend. I believe that if I don't move at all, I can't never challenge myself. So I decided to join it!
But I'm very happy to meet your friend there:) Could you ask her what department she's working at?
Thank you again for your kindness Yurika!

To Yusaku!
Thanks for your comment and advice! When I thought about it for a long time, I came to an answer as a same way as you that doing nothing won't be a benefit for me. So I'll try!

New Friend(^^)

I made a new friend today! yeah(^^)/ Her name is Saori. She goes to a different school, but we get along very well! We're going shopping at Shibuya this Saturday. I'm so exited!! I know I shop too much..., but don't worry! I am studying. I did French today! It's so confusing!!! I don't know if I can get AA on the test....

It's me again.

A perfect song to heal my sorrows.

This song has an inside story. If there's anyone who would like to know, I'll tell you in person.

See ya!

What a nightmare.(#c#)

I don't believe it. Why do I keep losing stuff.
On Monday, when I was just about to do my home assignment from my IE classes at home, I realized that my purple file with all the papers and notes from classes were missing. I searched everywhere. Opened every single pocket in my bag, between my books on my bookshelf, I even looked for it underneath my bed. But still couldn't' find it. So I said to myself, "Maybe I left it at school, in the desk that I was sitting at during my IE listening class. That's right! because that's the last time I had it with me! I' ll go back to the class room first thing in the morning and pick it up!" So I got up a bit earlier than usual and went to the class room the next morning, only to find out that it wasn't there. There was a lady who was cleaning up the class rooms just down the hall. I asked the lady if she had seen a purple file. Unfortunately, she hadn't. She told me to go to the student center because somebody might have taken it there. To make matters worth, it wasn't there neither. They told to come back again because maybe somebody still has it. I went to the student center at least five times today. I even thought of going to the chapel to ask St.Anthony (The patron saint for lost things.-funny, isn't it? Since that's my christian name) to find my purple file, but I was too tired and depressed, so I didn't.
Where are you my purple file!
P.S. If anyone has found or seen a purple file with terrible writing in it, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Very very sleeeeepy..><

Hello! I just came back home from my part-time job.
So I'm very tired now and sleepy...
This time, I will talk about my part-time job.I work at convenience store; it is called "three-F." This is not so famous, I think. I have worked at there since I was a high school student. So I want to change my part-time job... but sometimes.
I believe... it is almost time to go to bed, or I will take a nap during class! lol
So... good night ;9

My weekend

Heyyy
I had a welcome party of circle for freshers on Sat. About 20 took part in it and I could enjoy with them very much. In addition, Over 10 freshers already have joined my circle! soo cool!
All of them are really cute and I remember what I was last year of this time.
On Sun, I met my friend who is 1year older than me at Shinjuku. She and I have been on good term since when I was junior high school student. We had not seen each other for about 2 years..I could not believe it! It is so long time, isn't it?
I had great time with her and talked lots. And I promised that we will make it to Osaka this summer..I can't wait! I'm really looking forward to it from now on!
My weekend was over;( Also I had a part-time job after classes today..It made me tired tired tired..aww I want to be off to bed ASAP!

Last weekend

Last Saturday, I had a club activity and welcome party for freshmen. We usualy play in Yoyogi Park. However, we changed the place to a classroom because it was raining all of the day. First, we did sit-ups, push-ups, and these kinds of staffs, then played some games for fun. The training was a little bit hard, but I could enjoy the games. After the activity, we moved to a house to eat. I talked a lot with the freshmen. Next, we moved to a chinese restaurant. All of the foods were great, but I could not eat a lot because I was already full at that time. After we said goodbye to the club members, I went to my friend's house with some freshmen. We talked about many things until after midnight. It was really good time for me.

today

I ate yakiniku. The yakiniku after a long absence was very delicious! These days I wholly ate Cup Noodle or a boiled egg, which are the things I can make with only hot water. Because a fire was occured at the dormitory where I live in , so that we can't use kitchen without pot. I want to my dorm to use kitchin.

The definition of love

It`s really difficult to explain the meaning of love by words, for one reason that`s because it`s an abstract feeling we get when we are in love, and for another reason that`s because it`s really difficult to tell if it`s true love.I think there are a lot of component which can be involved in love such as dependence, emptiness, and so on.Of course love can still coexist with those things, but in my opinion it`s not tru love at all. While I`m not saying that we have to seek this state of love from the begging of the relation ships,I think we should always attend to the state of our love.
To love and to be really loved is a long way,on which we have to grow up as a human being and requires constant effort and continuation, but it`s the best thing we can possess in this world,Iguess.

Hi!

>yuri
I know how you feel cos I joined a club alone but... If you are interested in that club, don't mind your friend will or not! I do recommend you to try it and I think doing nothing is not a good choice.

>taichiro
I envy your appetite cos I'm thin!

TO YURI

Hi !!
I'm Yurika in IE3 on Tuesday.
Nice to meet you.

I read your contribution.
I'm not a sagasai-jikkouiin, but one of my friend works for it.
She is kind and will become happy to know that there are person who wants to work with her.
So if you want, I can ask her some questions you have, and ask her to meet you or to introduce you to the activity.
I haven't told this to her but maybe she will help you.

Taxi Driver

I often use school library to watch movies. Today, I watched "Taxi Driver". Robert De Niro became famous by this movie. It was directered by Martin Scorsese. I thought it was interesting but I promised to meet my friends. So, I have to stop to watching on the halfway. I'll have time to watch again. school library has a lot of movies I want to watch. I don't have enough money to borrow DVDs. I think I'm lucky that I can use shool library.

Today

I play tennis in second class on mondays. I can't play tennis well but tennis is very fun. When I was a junior high school student, I belonged to soft tennis club. This club wasn't hard so I wasn't good at playing tennis. When I was a high school student, I was a member of badminton club. This club was hard so the captain made us run a long way and train. But I like badminton very much. Also, I sometimes go to the gym to play badminton with my teammates.
Although I can't play baseball, I like to watch baseball games. Did you see WBC? I was really excited!! Ichiro is star:) In fact, I have never been to see any actual games, so I want to see baseball, soccer, volleyball games, and so on.

what should i do...

I have something that I've been worrying about these days...
I wanted to challenge something new and big when I entered university so that I am planning to be a member of SAGAMIHARASAI JIKKO-IIN. I believe Sagamiharasai is a big event so this will be a big challenge for me. There was a friend who was going to challenge jikko-iin together, but she said she doesn't want to to this anymore. I am a person who is afraid to start something new by myself so I am very worried and scared to try this new thing without any people who I already know. All my other friends said they don't want to do jikko-iin...:( I know that this is up me but I am just scared.lol
Is there anyone who challenged themselves in university already?

Sorry to use this place to talk about my own problem:(

A happening

Five days before, my PC was broken... I try to turn on, but my PC doesn't start. It's so trouble for me(>_<) I do all my homework at school. The PC room is far from a classroom where I attend. I feel very very tired. Though, there is a good point. I become to tend not to forget my homework. It is because, I postpone my homework when my PC is in my house. I thoght that I could do it later in my house! But actually, I tend to be lazy in my room(>u<)♪♪♪ But it is so unconvenient for me. I want to get back my PC soon!

*Friday Night*

How was your weekend? I had a good time on last friday night^^ My friend had a birthday party in Roppongi so I went there with my friends and had a good time!!On that day, I got home with the first train even though I had a class on Saturday.
Now I have to choose a book for a book report...I have no idea what kind of books are good to do the book report>-<

Yesterday

I went to an aquarium called " sea paradise " at hakeijima. I have not been there for a long time!! Maybe it was a last visit when I was a high school student. I could see all kinds animal of sea. : a dolphin, a whale, a penguin, a sea-otter, and a walrus, she showed us Japanese entertainer 's mimicry at show. Especially, Their performance was impressed with me at dolphins show!!! Anyway I spent a relax time by them yesterday. Finally I bought dolphin' s strap as sovenir and came back home.(●^o^●)I want to go there again soon. ☆★

Lunch

Today, I have lunch with my friends at lunch room. I ate chiken and rice. It was so delicious!!
But, my appetite wasn't stop. After I finished the chiken, I ate OKINAWA doughnut, potato chips, and chocolate. At last, my stmach was satisfy, and the looks was bigger. that was so ugry.
I want to become thin!!!! But I can't!!

GRAN TRINO

Last weekend, I watched the movie " GRAN TRINO ". It was directed by Clint Eastwood whose

famous work are " MILLION DOLL ER BABY " and " CHANGELING ".

In this film, it is described the friendship between an old man and the Asian family.

At first, the old man didn't have the good impression about them because he is a racist.

But, he just happened to save the family when the family was attacked by a gang.

After that, the interchange between him and the family was began and the old man

became on good terms with them. On the other hand, he and his family dislike each other

and they hardly visit him. However, the Asian family's existence healed his loneliness.

One day, the Gang attacked the family again and their daughter was seriously woundedby them.

the old man wondered to himself severely that what he should do and decided to

march into the gang's hiding place alone.

It's the general story of this film. Though it looks very heavy human drama, there are also

some funny scenes. So, I heard the sounds of laughter.

This film is praised highly all over tha world and some movie critics considered it Eastwood's

masterpiece. I want all of you to watch this film.

Human Relationship and My plan for GW

I've not used computer these days. So, I didn't know what were they talking about in this blog. "love is silent".....it's interesting...... I think so too. But language is also important. If we want to comunicate with someone, we need language. The time that we don't need any words is second step, and it takes so long times to be so. So, sometimes, I feel it's troublesome. ....But it's too bad.... By the way I don't have any plans for my golden weeks. May be, I'll go the shopping with my friend and on the other days, I'll have part time jobs.

"love"

I haven't been in a "romantic" love for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, and my parents are a little worried about it (mind your our business!) , but I do believe love is a strong feeling of enjoyment that someone who you are attracted to gives you. It just somehow makes your life really delightful and makes you impatient for the next day to come. All you think of is that person you're attracted to..........................is this just only me??Well, hope I can make a boyfriend throughout my school life...which I won't think would happen soon!!LOL

Jaimie

welcome party

Hi, everyone. I'll write about my last weekend.
We had welcome party for freshman. That was very fun,but I and other 2n'd member was so tired. We had to make effort for freshman to fun. But I love to talk with my friend, so I had good time.
Also I went to sibuya to shopping. But I don't have any money,so I didn't buy anything. Just looking was really hard for me.

Love is silent

"Love is silent." It is really interesting for me, too.

I think it is sometimes true, but sometimes you cannot say so. In my opinion, you are happy when you are just sharing your time with your boy/girlfriend. There is no words, but you feel comfortable just being with him/her. However, I think we also need the time to share each other's opinions or thoughts. We cannot understand all of others' thoughts without words. We sometimes tell or listen to others for trust or to build deep relationships.

Hi!!!

Hi! My name is Yurika. This is my first time to write the blog. There was some kind of problem with my e-mail address and I couldn't get the invitation. By the way, how was your weekend? Mine was okay. I just came back from a party and I'm so exhausted!! But I got to meet a lot of people so it was good.

Book Report

I have not decided the book for book report yet;;;
But I may read " The Carcher in the Rye" because I am interested in J.D.Salinger.

"Christmas Carol" sounds interesting.
If I have a time, I would like to read it:)

☆★Self- Introduction ★☆

I am sorry to have join this blog too late!!!
I am Yuria Takamatsu. Nice to meet to you.(^ω^)☆★
I live in Minamiosawa which has Outlet and Syuto Daigaku Tokyo university. I often go to this outlet to buy my clothes. By the way I was a member of cheerleading club when I was a high school students. But I belong to ESS club and Foot Ball circle in this university. There are a lot of event besides studying English and exercising in this two club. These are one of my pleasure . Anyway I love to have a relationship of people at each scene !!! So I want to make friends with members of IE through this class. Please talk with me.★ I am looking forward to seein you.(^o^)

Love is silent

I agree with "Love is silent".
What an interesting topic.
We can say "Love is silent"in various human relationships, like family, friend, romantic relationship.
When you are with your lover, you may don't care about silence.
Sometimes silence make us comfortable.
Have you ever read "people take someone on face in 90 percent"?
Author of this book say that people judge others from facial expressions, behaviors and
gestures. It means "nonverbal communication".I think this way of communication is very important in human relationships, because this is the way which can show your love or your lover's love without words. So I think nonverbal communication work out "Love is silent".

I can't give Yuhi to good advice...but I think you shouldn't regret about your love.
Good luck!!!

Book Report

Hi, everyone!
How was your weekend?I was very busy.
I worked from 11 to 20!
I was very, very tired.
But I want to visit America, I do my best!

Have you decided the book which you want to read for Book Report?
I do not decide... If you have some advice, please tell me!!
My favorite book is "Christmas Carol"! I have read with both English and Japanese.
It is interesting :) If you do not read it, try it!

Sunday,April 26, 2009

I had stayed mu hometown since last Friday night because I have to attend a Buddhist memorial service for my grandfather. So I came my apartment today.

I think I would arrive at Fuchinobe at about 17:00, but I arrive at here 19:30 because Tokaido-line delayed due to a strong wind. So I had to get on Shinkansen.

Since I waited and get on the train so long time, I'm so tired:(

the word "LOVE".

I guess LOVE is a very easy, but difficult word.
Ever since I entered AGU I've thought about this word thousands of time!!
I mean, I've thought about the word "SUKI".
I agree with the "love is silence" stuff:)

Right now there's a person I really really wish to be his girlfriend...
But since I've been to girl's school for 6 years I've never tried to say to someone that I love him.
Sorry for talking about such an personal thing...But, can anyone give me some advice?

love is silent..

"Love is silent"is interesting! I'm convinced about it.
For me, ofcourse there need conversations between us some extent but we do not have to keep talking for long, I think.
Even being silent is last, I do not feel uncomfortable.
However , in case of romance, he/she will have a duty to go on the conversations and end off.
Because if the conversations break, they would feel awkward on a date.
Also I think that romance is blind..she/he won't notice the bad part of him/her because she/he falls in love too much..haha
That was nice topic!

YESTERDAY

Hello!!

Yesterday, I went to a live concert held in Makuhari.
Do you know RADWIMPS?
I love this artist, and I enjoyed the live very much.
There were too many people, so it was difficult for me to watch the members.
But they sang my favorite song, and I was very happy!!
Everyone jumped and waved thir hands to them.
Of course, so did I. It was so hard and the hall was very hot.
I should have brought a T-shirt....
Anyway, the live was wonderful!!
I want to their live again!

Yesterday must be something pleasant to look back.

...Today I have some homework to do , and I'll have to get around it as soon as I can.

Thank you for answering my questions! :)

Hmm... everyone seems agreeable to "Love is silent" totally or to some extent.

There might be a little difference between US and Japan. I've just remembered an interesting essay of an American woman I read before. It says "Japanese couples know what each other are thinking without even talking. But it isn't true in the US where some people think men and women are from different planets when it comes to communication." She added "The fact is a lot of American women have no clue what their men are thinking."

This is just an essay, but American women seem to want men to tell exactly what men are thinking.

By the way, during "Golden Week", from 5/3 to 5/4, I'm going to Tanigawa Cottage which hiking club owns. It's in Gunma. Sophomore said we would be able to enjoy a beautiful river and mountains. I'm really looking forward it. Who would like to come? Please ask me! I'll tell you the detail.

Somalia Angola Ghana Ghana GHANA! India Sri Lanka Burma Bamboo Banga Bird Flu

I have middle eastern blood in me so I figured I'd start belly dancing. (I actually did buy a Belly Dancing DVD)
but I swear to god I must have African blood running in me too because the truth is.... I've been secretly dancing in my room for the past 43 minutes along to M.I.A.

YES YES YES! M.I.A. is the singer who is singing "Paper Planes" which was used in the movie "Slumdog Millionare" (the movie we're watching in IE class on Monday!)

Today I didn't get any clients at my part time job so I had a lot of free time. I went to Tower Records and Disc Union and did some CD shopping.

M.I.A. - "Kala" (The Japanese version has holographic printing and bonus tracks! I feel special.)
M.I.A. - "Arular"
Tori Amos - "American Doll Posse"
David Archuleta - "Self-Titled" (....please don't ask)
Jeffree Star - "Cupcakes Taste Like Violence"
Sigur Ros - "Takk..."
Arch Enemy - "Anthems Of Rebellion"
The Veronicas - "Complete" (it's their 1st and 2nd album combined!)

This is unusual for me cos I mainly listen to metal, but now I'm blasting pre-fabricated pop (David Archuleta) and dance tunes are banging hard against my ear drums now.

ahhh plastic!

I also like this Indian style song too:
"Jimmy~ Aajaaaa~~~~ Jimmy~~~ Aaja~"

Yesterday, I went to the dermatologists and got this sulfur lotion for my skin. I'm supposed to use it in the morning and at night. Problem is, I reeked of sulfur during my part time job. I really wanted the day to be over as soon as possible. I got paranoid (that's a $10 word right there) and kept spraying my self with fragrance. By the way fragrance is NOT good for smell nor the skin. I'll talk about that next time. How many people here are self-conscious? I feel as if my life is some sort of "market" right now. I feel as if I'm constantly under stock prices going up an down. In this case, not money, but the market is about aspects or status. You HAVE to have perfect skin and that flawless tan. You MUST have this season's Prada bag and extra points if you bought a coat by Royal Chie. Perfectly straight white teeth are crucial.
When I work it, I really work it. When I don't care I really don't care. I wouldn't mind walking outside wearing a dirty hoodie with flip flops with dried-kelp hair. I wonder where that "switch" is. And when and how does it get turned on/off.

Anyways, I still have more and more and more pills to take.

....and you thought you were the druggie?

Weekend

Today, it was rained and cold. I don't like this weather.

I went to the part time job. My work is BECK'S COFFEE SHOP in Zushi area in the morning. BECK'S COFFEE SHOP is also near Huchinobe station. I plan to do part time job during Golden Week. Do you have a plan? I was very busy.

I went shopping to Franc Frank which is a variety store to buy birth day present to my friend. There are many pretty goods!! I bought a pouch with heart. And I found very pretty porch and wanted to buy it, however I put up with buying it.

When I came home, my uncle and aunt visited my house. And we ate dinner. I thought it was really, really delicious to eat something with many people! I was very tired, so I go to bed at 11 pm! Good night!

First post

Hi, guess I'll start off my first post by introducing myself a bit. I'm Ryosuke and I was born in Japan but moved to New York when I was four. I've been living there for the past 15 years or so and decided to attend a university in Japan since my family is moving back anyway, along with other reasons. I've lived in America for most of my life but my English (and Japanese) is in no ways perfect, so I hope I can iron out all the small details here. That's about it, hope I get to know about you guys through this blog.

My opinion about Human Relationship

I agree with Yuhi's opinion. Because I went to the girl's high school, too. In this university, I have many boys friends. By my characteristics, I don't like very girly girls, for example, girls who wear vivid clothes and have perfect makeup and so on. So I can relax when I spend with boys who are not decorated. (Of course I LOVE girls friends, too!!!!!)

To change the topic, I don't have specially plans on Golden Week. In fact, I have to go part-time job on 1st and 2nd May. But I have the practices of my basketball circle on 4th and 5th. It's not specially plan, but I'm looking forward to this plan because I like basketball and my friends of my circle.
And I'll answer the Izumik's question. On my holiday, I usually stay at home or go shopping alone. The reason why I go shopping alone is I don't like to go shopping with someone. If I go with someone, I can't see the clothes which I like as long as I want. So, I usually go shopping alone. ...I hope anyone understand this opinion><

Oh, I have to prepare to go my part-time job;
Thank you for reading my blog and see you next time:)

Love is good!

I think this "Love is silent, Romance is talkative." thing that Yusaku wrote is true, and a brilliant way to describe the difference between Love and Romance. Just like what Dr.Armstrong said, there are words that need to be shared. There are times you need to listen to what the other person has to say.
In fact, I know there are tender words that sends me warm shimmers down my spine and make me feel like a spineless jellyfish:)
Sometimes we need words to expess our feelings , and to let the person you love know how special they mean to you.

what is love?

I am very interested in Yusaku's comment, "Love is silent, Romance is talkative."
I feel that those words are true!! In my experience, I felt very uncomfortable without talking anything with my ex-boyfriend. When we had a silence, I was looking for some topic to talk because I didn't like the silence between us. And of course we said good-bye to each other very soon. When I think back to that time, it wasn't love. I was at the age to be passionately in love.lol
On the other hand, when I think about my boyfriend right now, we don't care even of there's no conversation between us and its not uncomfortable at all! Sometimes we each read books alone in a same room or we do our own homework but I never felt awkward. So I believe that "Love is silent, Romance is talkative." is TRUE!

Oh! and thanks to Noe and Tomo for answering my question!
AND! HAPPY 19th BIRTHDAY TOMO!!!!!

Love is silent

"Love is silent" in my experience, it is truth.
Whenever I meet my boyfriend, I am satisfied with being there with him at the time. So there are not many conversations but we are always relaxed.
"Romance is talkative" is not apply to me.
Maybe most people get talkative when he or she meets favorite person so as to approach. But I am so shy and timid that I get reticent.

It is wonderful!!!

I have gone “gekidansiki” for the first time the other day in order to watch “wicked”. I got very excited before the musical starts because the structure of stage is fantastic!! I am really impressed that performers of musical all very sing song well and the story. This is the back-story of “ wizard of OZ” which is very famous, so the story closely involved with it. I have read “wizard of OZ” before for the book report. The bad persons in “wizard of OZ” become good person in “wicked”. Our view change between two stories. If you know ”wizard of OZ”, you enjoy it more and more. Do you watch it? Public performance of “wicked” will finish soon. If you do not watch musical, I recommend it!!!

Love is silent.

I feel it is truth that love is silent. My friends often say that if she is together with her loving people, conversation is not need for her. I sometimes feel so like her. However I also think that if no conversation is between them, we sometimes can not understand that what we think each other then.

Silent Love

"Love is silent"- that is really interesting, and has a lot of truth in it from my experience.

But, I think that's not all there is to it. In a love relationship, there are some things that need to be expressed through discussion and verbal sharing to continue openness, trust, and intimacy. There is also benefit to be had from deeply listening to another person's deep ideas on things. Or is that just my chatty American perspective? What do you guys think?

Human Relationship - Love is silent?

The other day I heard an interesting saying (or proverb), which is difficult to translate into English, but translated directly it says like "Love is silent, Romance is talkative."

This saying suggests the difference between love and romance. Let me explain. A couple is being together alone in somewhere. How long can they remain silent? If it is OK for them even if they talk nothing for over 10 minutes, that is love. But if they feel something uneasy without talking, that is romance. It says if it is love, you don't need to talk a lot.

Some girls who were told this saying seemed really convinced. Now I wanna ask each of you questions if you've got any idea, no matter whether you have such an experience. What do you think about this saying? Can it be true?

Today

Good evening.
Usually, I have 1 to 4 classes on Friday.
However, I finished school at 12 :30 today, because I don't have class in 3rd term and my 4th term teacher canceled a lecture.
So, I decided to go shopping and cafe in Kichijyoji.
I ate strawberry mousse and drank caramel milk tea. That was so delicious!
I think Kichijyoji has a lot of good cafe. I had a great time today.
Anyway, we have "golden week" the week after next.
Do you have any plan?and what do you like to do on your holidays?
I like to travel on long holiday, but I'm not going anywhere but to lie dozing in my house on this holiday.Because, a lot of people out there and crowded anywhere on golden week.

Today (^^)/

I take gymnastics in class of university this year. At The first term I play tennis and first class is today. A lot of students who belong to different club of university take the class. I am very pleased that I can be mixed up with students whom I can not do. Most of students are more better at playing tennis than me. I would like to master foundation of tennis techniques steadily in this class and I hope that I can play tennis well than present in this class!!!!!!

Today is...

the welcome party of my soccer club! It will stars at 7:30 but my classes finished at 2:30! So now, I backed to my home, 4:00. I have 2-hour-free time by the time I leave home!! What should I do~(^^;)

Human relationships.

I think most of my friends are talkative, kind, funny, dependable, and make an effort on what she/ he decides to do. The first impressions i make toward people are usually wrong. For example, one of my friend who was in same juku last summer, she looked scary at first impression. But as i knew about her, she was really kind and friendly.
I care boyfriend's aspect a bit, but mostly i agree with Yuri. How people look aren't that important. If i make friends or boyfriend by how they look, the relationships won't last long.

Human Relationship

As for the human relationship I`m deeply concerned as to what extent we can
call them `friends`.I think when we start labelling the people around us like `parents`or `friends` and so on,we tend to overlook the actual interaction requisite to the kind of relationships we call and therefore undermine the quality of our relationships. For example,
when our parents say things like ` You`re my son,you have to do what I say!`,they are lacking
in the attitude to try to do their best to their children. To make a long story short, the important thing is to interact with the people around us from our hear no matter what we may call them,I think.Good night everyone!

human relationship

I agree Yuri!!lol

Human relationships

Good evening guys! It's very interesting to know every one's thoughts about human relationships.
Today,I want to discuss about Mai's question, which was "Is there somebody not caring your girlfriend's/boyfriend's aspect on this blog?".
To tell the truth, I didn't care anything about my boyfriend's aspect at all and also I didn't think that my boyfriend's has a super good looking when I first went out with him. ( I mean I think he had average looking.lol) But after I've been together with him for two years, somehow he looks very cool and is a good-looking man to me right now. It doesn't mean that he changed his fashion or his hairstyle or loose weight. I guess my feeling towards him got bigger and at the same time, the aspect how I see him changed too. So what I want to say is that feelings can change how you see people.
Is there somebody who agrees with me? ...I hope so.lol

Human Relationships

The qualities that I look for in a good friend...sounds easy but a hard question!
I believe it would be easier to talk if that friend had the same hobby as me, but I like people with different hobbies. Let me talk about my friend from high school as an example.
My friend "Ms.N", wore different type of clothes as I do, her face was full of makeup, her voice was irritating, and she LOVED Kanjani from Johnny's(I HATED Johnny's). Anyway, her first impression was TERRIBLE. One day, I had an opportunity to talk to her during P.E. class. As I talked with her, the world she lived in seemed really new to me. Gradually, her voice didn't irritate me, and I was very surprised about the "Johnny's world" which was very interesting. Since then, I am ok with Johnny's.LOL!!
Well, what I wanted to say is, my quality for a good friend is to earn something new throughout relationships.

Jaimie

a couple of recommendations

Mai, thank you for your question.

>How did you learn it,Shunta?

I read on it in Shoich Watanabe(an emeritus
professor in Sophia university)'s book. May
-be he is much more famous as a conservative
acitivist, but he is a great authority on
English linguistics as well. Now that I
mentioned it, our fuculty's professor Kazu-
yoshi Yamanouchi is also very renowned in
that field(especially in the field of the
history of English language).

You know the 20 century's most comprehensive
and authoritative work on English grammar?
It is arguably Quirk et al.(1985). Again, here
is our fuculty's professor: Minoji Akimoto's
name is on the reference of that work. Amazing
it is, isn't it? Which I heard from Tadao
Nomura, who teaches Kisoenshu.

Here are a few recommendations of Shoich
Watanabe's books.

『講談・英語の歴史』

This small book is full of interesting episodes
about English language. On the label on the bottle
of Johnnie Walker(Scotch whisky) is an image of
a man walking, this in fact a by-product of mis-
understanding of something. If interested, give
it a try.

『スタンダード英語講座 第3巻』

This very volume gave me the knowledge of Umlaut
Plurals you mentioned. A very comprehensive work
on the history of English language. Far more
arduous than 『講談・英語の歴史』.

My friend when I was high school student

I think he is the most impressive person When I recall my school days.

He is a good talker and knows very well about music and comic books.

Moreover, his looks and voice are so cute and charming. So, he is

popular with the class and especially girls.

But, I heard unpleasant stories about him that he declared his love

for a boy. Though I couldn't think it was true, it seemed to be.

Boys in the class stopped to talk to him because of that.

they might be repulsive about it. Although he didn't show the distress

in the class , his absence rates increased steadily. But, he cooperated well

in making the class art object in the school festival. because he was a

member of the art club.I thought it might become better relationship

with him and boys. But, they haven't made up with him until the graduation

ceremony. Honestly, I felt I kept him at a distance after the gossip. I learned

the difficulty to associate with such a person. Fortunately, our relationship

is continuing now.

Hello.
Yesterday, I saw "Red Clif Part Ⅱ", ”Oppai volley”. The former one is a little difficult for me but I was impressed with Human's love and courage. The latter one is fun and the best actor of this movie is Nakamura Toru, I think.
I like to see the movies very much! I work at the theater, MOVIX of Akishima, so I can see the movies for free:) During this spring vacation, I saw 14 movies, for example, "Drop", "Fish Story","Yes Man", "High School Musical" and so on. Before starting a Part-time job, I always went to see the movies with my friends, but these days I sometimes see by myself sitting on the corner seat.
My favorite movie is "Holiday". Although I like Japanese movies better than foreign movies, this one is very good because it makes me happy.

Good morning. These days I often go to the welcome party for freshers. I really enjoy it but sometimes I'm getting so tired. Yesterday, I went to SEIMUSU and found pretty key holders which attach with the pet bottle of the tea. To my luckily, It was the day of the sale ! I bought all kind of key holder on impulse. These are so pretty! but these have one big problem. Whenever I saw this, I want to eat sweets.

To Red Flag I saw your photo! I like tomato very much, but I haven't have this kind of tomato. I want to have them.
Hi!

It's really hot today especially in Fuchinobe...because it was cold when I left home, so i brought the jacket but I don't need it in Fuchinobe!

Anyway Twilight was...OK, not bad, Chris(Red Flag).I guess you can wait until DVD is released and lend the DVD.You don't have to pay 1500yen for that film^^;

This is my cheerleader friends!!we sometimes go and have dinner after the practice^-^because we eat a lot, we usually go to Nabezou(Shabushyabu) in Machida to eat as much as we like for 2000yen.

Human relations

I often irritated or angry for a person. I noticed it and thought that I suffered a loss in life in the future.Recently I try to improve it. Therefore the thing which I came across is wind and water.
I devote myself to Fuusui now. I heard that the Fuusui is good to make human relations better. I introduce it here. At first, order and cleaning on a desk, in a desk, and the dust of the telephone. please fix the flow of the mind. Then nature and own sense of values rise.the human nature rise, too.As a result,we can notices even that angry to oneself , comes to think nothing at all so far. Please try it to make progress with human relations smoothly by all means!

It is 1:07 now......

Hallo♪三♪

Thank you for answering my questions,Dr Armstrong!! I was so surprised to read your answear because..your wife seems to be really perfect!! You are soooooo lucky!! I think to have a sence of humor is very important, too(^^)
"..Fashionable, and look generally presentable..."you think so? Generally speaking, I think it is common for people, but I can't agree with it. Perhaps it is related to my parents' divorce. (My father got married to my mother judging by her appearance only(,and to my surprised, my mother was attracted to my father's property!!)) Sadly, I'm always said to have bad taste in men by my friends....Anyway, I think my mind will never change. I believe that there are probably several people having the same sense as me in the world!!

Is there somebody not caring your girlfriend's/boyfriend's aspect on this blog??

I'm very sleepy.. see you then!!

Self-introduction

It' my second time to up my blog!
Nice to meet you. I'm Miki Yoshida. B class. If you know about me, please talk to me ^^*
I belong to Partida, a soccer club of this unuvercity. Truly, I wanted to join the dance club but I thought these weren't fit me. For the reason, I gave up to join these clubs...

Well, my hobby is to watch TV program, especially Drama! Now I watch "Atashinchino danshi" every Tuesday. This is so fun and exciting because there are so many cool men, IKEMEN in this drama! It makes me happy when I'm tired. Check it out!

Human Relationship

To have good relations I think it is important to try not to
see them from the first impression you get because it may be different.
You should talk to them and try to learn them from various themes.
In order to do that I think you should dig into many subjects.

It seems that many people in Japan wait until
the person comes talking to them.

Human Relationship

Good evening!
I'll talk about my opinion about Human Relaionship.
I think human relation is very difficult. Because each persons has each opinions and sence of values. So, it's difficult to understand all thing each other and to sympathize with all.
But friends are essential for my life. I think everybody think so.
When I have worries about something, friends notice it and I can talk her/him about my worries.
In addition, friends give me good advices. I have been saved by my friends many many times.
I think I want to repay for my friends someday.

self intro

Hi!!
I'm Tomomasa Yokoyama(call me Tomo) .
Nice to meet(read?)everybody!!
Here's my intro.

I was born in Tokyo. I went to America at the age of 6 and lived there for about 3 years.
I like all kinds of music.Today I bought a CD of "Amy Whinehouse" and "X JAPAN".
I love to move my body.I played tennis when I was in junior high, and soccer in high school.
I play basketball as well.
I sometimes wander around not planning where to go.
I'm bad with computers, and is having a hard time right now.
That's about it for now.

See you at school!!

Human Relationship

To keep a good relationship with people, I always try not to see people in terms of whether they're good or bad, likable or not. Such an attitude will make our relationship closed. I think we should have room to enjoy various personalities of other people.

Human Relationship

In my opinion, to build up a good relationship, mutual understanding is essential.
Giving attention and recognition to people around you, not only helps to establish a better relationship, but also encourages you to try hard in all aspects in your life. For those people who receive no attention, life could sometimes seem meaningless. Therefore, I think it is an advantage and a privilege to be able to interact with other students and share opinions right here on this blog.

Good Participation

This is great! We have almost everyone from both classes blogging in now. (You last few stragglers, please jump in quickly!) So, lots of you are addressing points about qualities you think are most important in a friend, a romantic partner, or a life mate. Keep discussing these points.

Yuri, don't worry. Your grammar looks fine to me. Communication is the real point anyway, isn't it?

Red Flag/Chris: so, go ahead and ask her directly. (I'm curious about the human (?) relations in the story of Twilight as well). I have disabled the comments because it became too difficult to see them (buried one level down). Also, some people who aren't so techno-savvy have, in the past, lost their main weekly blog posts in obscure comment sections. Also, (real reason) the blog statistics don't count comments and I want to keep track of entries. :)

Mai, thanks for your questions. Uh, really? You don't care about your boyfriend's appearance? I agree that looks are not everything and that the inside is most important but I have to admit that I want my partner to take care of themselves, be a bit fashionable, and look generally presentable . . . My wife is my best friend after seventeen years. When I first saw her, I was very impressed with her clear authority, her fluent English, and her sharp intelligence. She's also very sociable and hard-working. She is great at meeting new people and networking groups of people together. Later, I found out that she had a great, silly sense of humor and that we shared very similar values regarding goals, lifestyles, aesthetics, and interests. Also, yes, I think she is pretty. At least, she always looks good to me . . .

Shunta, once again you have some useful info to share. Good examples of etymology (the origins of words) and why we see so many pesky (mendokusai!) irregular plurals in English.

Welcome to Shino.

Blog on!

Self-Introduction

Hello everyone!Nice to meet you.
My name is Jaimie Onozato.Let me introduce myself a bit.

I live in Nakano since I was born = I never lived abroad, but instead I went to an international school until sixth grade. There were no Japanese classes held so my Japanese sucked big time...so my mother decided to put me into a Japanese private school from junior high which was located in Haijima.I started my Japanese from kindergarten level. It was probably the toughest time I ever spent in school life!I had difficulty making friends and a really hard time trying to understand what the teachers were saying. After junior high, I went to Hinode high school in Meguro. And here I am now at Aoyama Gakuin.

My hobby is to cycle because I like to feel the fresh air.Plus it's good exercise. Also, I love listening to music. The artists I am in to now is Keri Hilson and Nicole Scherzinger from PCD.My personality is talkative, but I can't talk to people who I meet the first time...so please feel free to talk to me:)

Well, that's about it for now!!

Jaimie

nice to meet you!!

Hi! My name is Yuri and I'm in IE3 class on Friday:)
Let me introduce myself first.
I live in Machida by myself, same as Noe, and I'm 19yeas old. I think most of you guys are 18 years old so that means I'm an year older than most of you. The reason is that I graduated high school in Michigan,U.S.A last May and I took Aoyama Gakuin university's entering exam last September. Usually high school students in Japan graduate on March and then they enter the university on April. But since I had school until May, I had to wait an year to get into university in Japan. One thing that was good to wait an year to get into the university was I didn't have to study anything after I passed the entering exam which was last September! So that means I haven't studied about 7 months at all!lol

Since I learned English in the U.S., I'm very bad at grammar, which most of the students who studied English in Japan are very good at. So I'm sorry if I have a lot of grammar mistakes.
I'm very surprised how everybody who writes in this blog has perfect grammars!

I'm looking forward to talk to everyone through this blog!
Have a good Wednesday:)

Note to self:

ALWAYS get a train delay verification slip no matter what.

Today the JR line was delayed due to some lady getting sick on the train. I figured I didn't need to get a slip that said the trains were delayed on account of it was only 9:02 when I got to the station, and since we're in college now it wouldn't be much of a big deal to slide into class after a few minutes, and more about self-responisibility. I speed-walked and got to class around 9:10.

I hate being late. We are not allowed to sit in the back 2 rows but I had no choice but the girl in front of me kept on telling my that I can't sit there....

After class I went up the professor to ask him if I'm marked tardy or not cos he didn't take roll. Looks like he did it first thing after the bell rang. He said he doesn't accept tardies, and if you're late, you're absent.

puh-lease.

After school I asked the train station attendant if I can still get a slip. Fortunately I got one!
I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope the professor changes his mind.
I don't like that class already....for many reasons. But I'll stop ranting here especially when It's my fault for not getting up early enough.

Oh and one more thing.

Aren't these amazing?

micro tomatoes!!

-Chris

P.S. : how do we post comments on other people's posts? I just wanted to ask Ayaka if Twilight was a good film, and point out Taylor Launter is ridiculously good looking that he puts all us men to shame.

I wish I was him HAHAHA nevermind.

self-introduction

Hello, my name is Noe! Nice to meet you. I'm in Friday IE-3 class. Let me introduce myself to everyone.
I live in Machida by myself. It takes only about 20 minutes to get to school and it's really convenient! But unfortunately, i have to move to Takao(Hachioji) next week. It might take about 40 minutes- 1 hours to get to the school. I know some of you come from far and take about 2 hours to get to school! I'm lazy.. Actually, i lived in Hachioji city for almost whole my life and many of my middle school friends live there but i really love living in Machida.
My hobby is to listen to music, play keyboard, watch movies and swim. I also love shopping and hanging out with my friends.
Nice to read every one's blog :)

Human Relations

Hello. this time, I'd like to write my opinions about human relations......but,before that,I want to say that I was really impressed with Shunta's detailed knowledge about Umlaut plurals. I didn't know even the word "Umlaut plurals". How did you learn it,Shunta?

Well, about human relations,I think most of my best friends are always very hard to do evrything such as study, sport, and even developing good relationships with others. That's because I want to make my life more and more fulfilled, inspired by my friends,I think. I love my friends very much and want to keep getting in touch with each other forever even when we become old. Anyway, it is very important for me that relations with friends make myself change much better.

In the next place, about boyfriend,....I don't care about his appearance, but I want to agree with each other and feel comfortable when stay with him.
Even In the future,I think I also need the same things with my life partner as I have now.

Now,I want to ask Dr. Armstrong about your wife. Is she ideal for you ? Or, does she have the importance you need? I want to know in detail!!

Octopi

In today's class, Dr.Armstrong explained that the
plural forms of some English words―hippopotamus,
octopus, to name a few―can be derived by adding
a suffix“-i”,when it occuerd to me that a lingu-
istic phenomenon so-called “Umlaut plurals”has
much to do with this.

Examples of“Umlaut plurals”are somethings uni-
versally known―foot/feet goose/geese, man/men.
These instances are often taught as “exceptional
cases”in that they cannot be derived with “nomal”
procedures of adding a suffix“-(e)s”,but even a
cursory look at the history of English language
proves this is not the case. “Umlaut plurals”can
be systematically explained with some knowledge of
it. For example, the old saxon's equivalent of the
english word“foot”was “foti”, the suffix“-i”,
meaning“more than one”. In the course of history,
the suffix“-i”had a phonological effect on the
preceding vowel“-o-”, and then changed it to“-e-”.
What happened next? Surprisingly enough, it per se
disappeared.

In this way, in our eyes, “Umlaut plurals”seems
exceptional. How interesting.

Nice to meet you!

I'm Shino Uenoyama.
I'm sorry for being late to write this blog. I didn't know how to blog in.

I'll introduce myself.
I live in Kameari. Do you know Kameari?
Yes, it's famous as the stage of a Japanese comic book, KOCHIKAME!!

I have played basketball for about 9 years.
Now, I belong to the basketball circle, ARMY, in Aoyama Gakuin University. And I'm a position of the delegate of girls. Recently, I have many things to do, so I'm very busy.
But I love my friends in my circle, I have a great time with them.

My personality is talkative, but I can't talk with people who I meet first time.
Please talk to me and become good friends:)
I want to enjoy this IE3 class★

I just got home...

Hi!I just got home by taking a taxi because I missed the last train...I'm tired...
Since I don't have a practice today, I went to watch a movie, Twilight, and had dinner with my boyfriend. So now I'm going to talk about Human Relationship.
When I go out with somebody, I see his personality more than his looking. He doesn't have to be sexy or hot at his looking, but he has to be kind, nice, honest, and so on. I always want him to listen to me or understand me whenever I need.
I'm getting sleepy, I'm going to keep talking about this next time as well.
See you tomorrow^-^ Good night!!

Human Relations

Friends are really important for me.  My best friends are all outgoing, honest, and funny.  I can spend happy time with them, and I love that time.  They listen to me carefully and sometimes cheer me up.  We believe and depend on each other.

I think it is not so important whether a boyfriend is inteligent or sexy.  I want him to understand me.   When I choose my life partner, I think I need to consider some money problem, too.

★☆self-introduction☆★

Hello!! My name is Ayaka Naito. I'm sorry to be too late to write this blog... I'm not good at computer(>_<)!!
It seems that there are 3 Ayakas in my IE class. If you difficult to remember my name, please call me "a-ka" because I was called "a-ka" when I was a junior high school student. It's my nickname. I like both my nickname and real name.
I like Tokyo Disney Resort very much. My part time job was working at Tokyo Disney Land a year ago. The job was cleaning there. It was really fun for me, but the time I reached the home was at midnight and I met strangers many times, I quited the job unwillingly. Now I worked at dressmarket in Hachioji. Also I like sweets. Sweets make me happy. I often go to "Sweets paradise" with my friend. I sometimes bake cookies or a cheese cake. But that makes me fat.
This year I want to meke my English skill up. I'm not good at English. It is the reason why I went to Aoyama Gakuin Universe, but I was surprised that there are many people who are good at English. I try to study hard.
Nice to meet you...('u'*)/"

Hello, my name is taichiro takagi. Nice to meet you. This is my introduction. Now I live in machida alone. I 'm from nagoya city in AICHI.My hobby is playing tennis. And KARAOKE with my friend's(men). So yesterday, I went to KARAOKE only men's. That was so excited. Also I love shopping. Recentry, I interested in DAIKANYAMA. The prace is so hot.I love my hometown and MACHIDA too. So if you visit MACHIDA or AICHI, please tell me! I want to play with you!I am very weak in english,so I try to improve my english skill.

Human Relationships

All of my friends are really nice. It is comfortable to be with them.
I think they are fun, talkative and a little bit shy..
Some of them are like me but others are not.
For the first sight, I thought I could not get along with a person who looks different from me by just appearance.
However it is wrong ofcourse. Talking a lot,we are getting to know each other and we are really good friends without notice!
So after the incident, I've tried not to judge a person how they looks.
I LOVE my friends who always understand and reach to me.
Also I think heaps that I'm blessed with good friends...

I'm soo pumped today because of my part-time job..
Though I wanna be off to bed, I have lots things to do yet!
Nity nite!:)

I'm doing my homeworks...

I'm doing my homeworks. I haven't done homeworke during my spring vacation. So, I feel it's quite hard( I think I've used the word "hard" twice). I'll write this blog about to rest.
I wrote I like reading books. I like the book The Girl in the Flammable Skirt and An Invisible Sighn of My Own written by Aimee Bender. She is an American author. And I like watching movies. I watch any movies such as action, human drama, SF, fantasy and sometimes I watch horror movie (but I don't like horror movie that is too scary). Yesterday, I watched BiohazardⅡ. But I thought it isn't better than Biohazard.
I have homeworks to do. So I'll back to my homework.
See you later.
Good Evening!:)
On last saturday, I had a club's live! It was called the invitation live for freshman. I played "aiko"'s songs. It was not so easy, so I practiced hard. I was very tired but I enjoyed very much.
I'm very very sleepy...X( Good night!

Human relationships.

I have my precious friends who understand me well. My friends are talkative and fun. I can't talk with someone for the first time because I am very shy so it takes a lot of time to get along with them. Although I am selfish, my friends are always kind to me and occasionally they tell me something strongly. When I have some anxietiy or difficulties, I call my friends and send e-mails. I want to have a lot of fun time in school days.

Before starting a part-time job I have only friends the same age as me, but after that I have some older friends than my age. Talking with them is very fun for me because I can know their view of life. Having various friends is important to know a lot of things, I think.

Human Relationship

My friends are funny and cheeful. But they are earnest in class or English study.
When I try to skip a class, they stop me as hard as they can.
So I think I have to follow their example and
I would like to improve myself with them.

Moreover, when I am in low spirits, they try to cheer up me.
I always thank to them.
And I would like to help them when my friends are in trouble.

This is Ayaka Kobi^-^

Hello! There are two Ayaka in my class so I'm another Ayaka^^
I'm going to tell you about me first because this is the first time to blog on.
I used to live in Indonesia before getting in the universtiy, so if you have any chances to visit Indonesia like Bali, let me know^-^I can be a good tour guide.
I have got in a cheerleading team since I came to Aoyama. I have practice four times a week after school, that's why I'm kinda busy...because I got in the club I got good friends in there and I can say that I go to school to see them or for hang out with them. I hope our relationship will be continued even though we graduate from the cheerleading club!
then I'm going to school now. see you**

I'm sleepy.

Saturday morning, I woke up at 14! it is no longer morning.
And then, my mother and I went to shopping mall at Yokohama bay side. I drove a car on our way to and from the mall. It keep us in suspense!
At there, we enjoyed shopping. I bought one-piece skirt and bag. the latter one is the one I had been looking about for! So I was happy to find the bag.
It's 1:00 am of Monday now. I am so tired because of my part time job. So I'm going to go to bed soon. Sweet dreams!

First post!

I finally signed up for this blog after a long long day of work.

MY BACK IS SERIOUSLY GOING TO BREAK IN TWO!

On my break I went to Sweetie Pie which is a gelato/cupcake store in Queens Isetan(Yokohama).
I used to be addicted to the gelato there when I was in high school.

Having huge purple bags under my eyes and hair that looked like two pigeons made a nest on my head, I walked up to the glass case where they have the cupcakes on display.

Right then, the nice employee smiles at me and says "Can I take your order?" (yes, in English)
well HELLO! what made you say that in English?

It really annoys me when this happens. Well actually no, I find it funny. Actually this is the second time this happened at this store.

When employees or anyone on the street randomly speaks to me in English I always try to ask them questions back in Japanese.
I asked the lady "Where do you import your pistachios from?" "How long will these last in the fridge?"
The lady stood there dumbstrucked. It's ok though. I already knew the answers anyway; they import their pistachios from Italy. And you should eat the cupcakes within 24 hours you buy them.

I don't know why but it has always bothered me when I would ask for directions in Japanese, for example in train stations or the police office, but they always reply in English.

I have class from 9am tomorrow so I'm gonna go to sleep now.

Good night
-Chris

Human Relationships

I have a lot of good friends, I think. All my good friends are conciderate and talkative. It is very comfortable for me to go together with them. This point is most important for me. They really understand me, so they see my feeling soon and cheer me up when I am not fine.

Some of my good friends reflect about future dream and I talk about future with my friends. It is stimulative for me to do it. I respected my friends who have different opinions.

I think it is most important that mutural sense of value matches each other about boyfriends.

Human Relationship

My best friends are very kind, cheereful and outgoing .
Maybe, I make a point of these uconsciously.
I am selfishness because I am younger sister.
So, I rely on my family and friends when I have a trouble.

Self-introduction

Hi everyone. I'm Kazuo Nogami. Let me introduce myself to everyone in Aogaku IE3.
I was born in Tokyo, Setagaya. My family moved to Maryland when I was two years old, and came back to Japan when I was four. I was really small then, so I don't remember much. Well, some I do. Like eating a lot of chocolate at Halloween and going to Baskin robbins with my big brothers. No wonder I am addicted to sweets now. After spending five years in a local primary school in Ebisu, moved to Hong Kong with my family. Lived there for two years, and then came back to Japan. I entered the local middle school in Shibuya, after spending two years in this school, we moved to Paris. I did not pick up Cantonese nor French because I went to the Japanese school. Still, I made great friends and had a unforgettable time. After Paris, I returned to Japan for high school. Those who are feeling a little tired reading this, should take a break and feed the fish. Aren't they lovely. Where was I, -yes, high school. Went to a high school near Ikebukuro called Sugamo koko. Didn't really like it because it was a boys school and very strict. After high school , did Ronin for a year, and got into Keio University SFC. This is when I made the most stupid mistake in my life. I dropped out in sophomore. Please don't ask why, because, to be honest, I don't really know why I did. I was young and foolish, I guess. So after that, I started working in a ski resort in Nagano where I'd been working part time since I was in high school during the winter breaks. All through summer and winter, I would work up there, and in spring, did some part time job in Tokyo. I am very sorry but I am not done yet. I enjoyed it, but didn't want to be doing this kind of thing for the rest of my life and couldn't wipe away the feeling to work abroad using my English skills. So I went to a Japanese school in Takadanobaba that teaches foreign students Japanese. Joined a class for Japanese people to learn how to teach Japanese to foreign students. Had a priceless experience there and learned something about teaching Japanese. The teachers there were wonderful people and they suggested to me that I go back to college and learn more about pedagogy, linguistics and other stuff. I took the entrance exams for Aoyama, got in, and here I am at this IE3 blog. I apologize for writing on and on about myself. This is my self-introduction, and I am ready to hear yours. Let's get to know each other well and exchange thoughts and ideas.
