The brave girls in Maine

Equal rights – does everyone believe men and women are treated equally, or is men allowed more power over women?? Although sex discrimination acts and all these complicated laws exist in the 21st century, there still seems to be some barrier between men and women.
When I first saw the article in class on Friday, I thought “what brave women these people are!!” But then I came to think, wait a minute, it is a good and “unique way” (to attract public attention) to appeal the equality between men and women, the method they have taken is in fact a bit childish.
As yuri has said, we have different sex, and therefore the physical feature differs. There is no point competing each other by the difference of our body make, the way we look, but to accept the difference and respect the other gender (men are physically stronger, women are the only ones who can give birth – and see this as a gifted way)
I think I've taken it a bit serious, let me talk a bit about the discussion we had over whether “If you had the chance to choose your sex” discussion at middle high-school. What I think about the great benefit is being a girl – they can call themselves by their name!! Say there’s a girl called Hanako, she can say ‘Hanako wa ichigo ga suki!!’ Sweet, (even better if she’s cute!!) isn't it. Then if there’s a boy called Taro, if he calls himself by his name ‘Taro wa ichigo ga suki!!’ ….that is kind of dodgy, I’d say yuck!!!
But anyway, it is an interesting fact to discus don’t you reckon??
