Remember Pearl Harbor

Today I saw this interesting movie called "Pearl Harbor". It's a movie about an unannounced military strike conducted by the Imperial Japanese Navy against the United States naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii on the morning of December 7, 1941. It resulted in the United States' entry into World War II. The attack was intended as a preventive action in order to keep the U.S. Pacific Fleet from influencing the war that the Empire of Japan was planning in Southeast Asia, against Britain and the Netherlands, as well as the U.S. in the Philippines.

After watching this film as a Japanese, I felt so complicated and felt sorry for the people who were sacrificed in this tragedy.
Attacking the harbor suddenly and killing the innocent civilian people was an awful thing to do.
But to be honest, although I felt sorry for the America, I think there was some kind of a reason for the Japanese government to carry out this operation.
And I want to find out why this tragedy occurred someday.
