My book report

The book report I'm doing is entitled "the Catcher in the Rye" which was written by J. D. Salinger so long ago as right in the middle of the 20th century (but it's still famous and popular with all the adolescents). Well, I have read the one translated into Japanese some years ago. It was interesting because in the story, the protagonist hurls at everything he thinks is terrible; the reality world which only foul and evil adults can occupy and control. I feel this style of written stuff is exactly the way American literature should be, and the reason why I like American novels. Honestly, I don't want to say that the person who killed John Lennon had this book in his hand just when and where he committed the murder. But it may mean that this work has such big influence.
