I thought that the main character is the
boy who had a fantastic imaginary power.
He was judged as a mental disease who cannot think normaly, and was isolated
from the world. The problem was that his imagination wasn’t accepted as a
personality.
At the end, he thought that the world was
too difficult to live, and chose to die with his beautiful imaginations.
I think Tezuka wanted to tell us to accept
others personality. Imagination which does not hurt one shouldn’t be
prohibited. Recognizing others personality makes a good human relations.
