My best friend's birthday!

Today was my best friend's birthday.  So we did surprise party to her! She looked very surprised.
Yesterday, I made a very very big mistake. I was choosing her birthday present at the shop, and I happened to sent photos of them to her!!! I thought she noticed, but she wasn't. That was close.
One of my friend brought the cake which looks like a ramen. It looks like actual ramen, and my best friend was thinking that it is actually a ramen.
I was very happy to see her happy face. She was about to cry.
I wish she will have a great year!

About TED

Hello.
I want to write about TED.

As you know, TED is a very good website because TED gives us new ideas which we have never thought before.
I watched TED for the first time when I was a high school student. In modern society class, the teacher showed us the TED video. That TED video is TED for Japan, so also the presenter is a Japanese. The presenter is a woman and she talked about economic.
Her idea is that Japanese people should decrease working time. She claimed that working a lot caused a vicious circle. In the end, she suggested that Japanese company should employ new members to reduce the burdens per person.

When I watched her TED video, I was amazed and I agreed with her.
Her TED video made me think about my future. TED is the place that everyone all over the world can share the ideas. I think TED is essential to get world better.
If you want to watch her TED video, please search like below on YouTube.

“Life balance: Yoshie Komuro at TEDxTokyo”

I hope everyone watch it.

Drawbacks of Aoyamagakuin university

I like my university,Aoyamagakuin very much. I love its beautiful campus. Every time I walk around the campus, it always reminds me that I am a student of Akyamagakuin. There are many good points of Aoyama but there are some drawbacks too. The biggest one is that a ginkgo nut smells!! Since autumn arrived, the Main Street smells so bad and I hate walking along it. Next, Aoyama is too crowded with so many students. I can't find an open seat in the cafeteria. When the class ends, so many students come out of the classroom and it is so hard to ride on an escalator or an elevator.
But overall, I like my university very much and am proud of being a student of Aoyamagakuin.

part-time job

I have two part-time jobs now.

The one is a teacher at Yotsuya gakuin (a juku for high school students, junior high students, and elementary school students) in Yokohama. I studied there when I was a 3rd garade high school student because I had an entering examination of universities. The reason why I choose this job is that I want to be good at teaching something to others. I teach English to a girl who is a first-year student at high school. I'm so struggling to let her understand English clearly....

(the logo of Yotsuya Gakuin)

The other is a waitress at a Japanese food pub at Yokohama station. Its name is En. Do you know or Have you been to En? If you don't, you should come to eat. Dishes are very creative and nice, and we have a lot of kinds of drinks! It is very hard work but I like this workplace.

( the appearance of En at Yokohama JOINUS)

(all dishes are so nice<3)

Having two jobs while having a club activity is very hard, but they are worthwhile. I want never to give up all of them.

My hometown

Where do you think I lived until this April? If you think I lived in Kanto area, the answer is not correct. I lived in Yamagata. What images do you have about Yamagata? The most popular foods are Sakurambo and Imoni. To tell the truth, I lived in neither a city or a town. Maybe to your surprise, I lived in a village.
The village I lived in is surrounded by the most popular river in Yamagata, Mogami river. The river crosses Yamagata. In my hometown, Mogami river is a sightseeing spot. At the river, We can enjoy going downstream in a boat. In summer, the color of the trees is so beautiful. The most exiting activities for children is going downstream in Rafts. Children can experience to make rafts. In winter, as my hometown in Tohoku area, we have a lot of snow. So, mountains are covered with snow. In a boat, we can enjoy snow scene.
My hometown has a good term with Korea. So, many Korean women come to my hometown and marry Japanese men. In addition, some women come from Philippine and China. Although my village is so small and remote, there are a lot of cosmopolitans:)

Viewing moon!

Hello! Today, I would like to talk about yesterday's  viewing moon.
On September 28th , I went to viewing moon with my friends. We ate Oden, steamed bun, and dumplings!
It was Super moon, and the moon looked much larger, more beautiful. I had never seen moon with my friends at night. so it was very nice to have such an experience this time.
It was very wonderful if I could watch it from my house or friends's house, but we couldn't. So we just walked around Yoyogi and watched it.
We can see that super moon on 2033, which is super long time later. I will be 37 at that time! I can't imagine it.
Any way, I had fun very much! I loved it.
Thank you for reading my blog!

About my high school.

Today I would like to talk about my high school.

I went to a school called Narita Kokusai High School where there were the international course and the general course. Since my favorite subject was English and wanted to improve my English skills, I decided to go to the international course.

One of my English teacher was really enthusiastic in teaching us English.
Although I had some tough time following him, he always helped me whenever I had problem in classes.

In my school there were many practical classes like presentation, debating and discussion so I had many chances to use my English and improve it.

Also I love my friends who I met in high school. Everyone was studying English with enthusiasm and they always stimulated me a lot whenever I was losing my motivation to study hard.

I would like to say a huge thank you to my high school because the three years which I spent has made what I am today.

I still miss my high school days but I hope I can have lots of good experiences here in Aogaku like I did in my high school.

(This is one of my favorite photoes which was taken in the the housetop.)

my high school

I was in a high school called Tokyo Jogakukan, which is located in Shibuya. It is a girl’s school and I spent 6 years there. There are 6 classes in total and I was in a class called International class. International class is a class that half of the students are returnee students and homeroom teacher is an English teacher. Also, International class had no class shuffle for 6 years. So everyone in my class were on the best of terms. When it comes to intramural match, my class was the best since we had the bond of solidarity.

I thought spending 6 years in a girl’s school would going to be a tough thing, but contrary to my expectations it was really fun! That is because I didn’t have to care about boy’s eyes. However, one thing that I didn’t like about my school was that there were many strict school regulations. I could not stop off somewhere on my way home and put my school uniform photo on the SNS. I thought that is too strict for high school students. Did anyone have these strict rules at your high school?

Summer Trip

Hello!
Today, I will talk about a trip I took during my summer vacation.
I went to Taiwan with my family to visit my dad in Taipei. My dad is currently woirking in Taiwan so we went there to see him. We spent a week at my dad's place and he showed us around to many places. Where I enjoyed the most was Jiufen. Jiufen is said to be the place which gave strong hint as the stage for "Sento Chihiro no Kamikakushi". There were many lanterns at night and it was very beautiful.
Also, foods in Taiwan was great. I especially liked Xiaolongbao! It was the most delicious xiaolongbao I had ever eaten. There were so many delicious food there.

I really enjoyed my stay in Taiwan so  I  want to visit again!

My favorite actor

Hello.
In this blog, I want to write about my favorite actor.

My favorite actor is Eddie Redmayne. Do you know him?
He is a British actor, and he won the academy award last year.
He played the role of Stephen Hawking who is ALS. His performance was praised highly by all over the world. The title of this movie is “ The theory of everything.” If you have never watched this movie, you should watch it. Of course, the performances are splendid, but also the music of this movie is very beautiful. If you have time, please watch it.

His another famous movie is “Les Misérables.” In this movie, he performed his beautiful singing voice. I think this movie made him famous. If you hear his singing voice, you must fall in love. However, actually I fell in love in his face.
The new movie which star in Eddie will be released in 2016. The title is “Danish Girl.” I am looking forward to seeing it!

september 9, 2015

At the end of my summer vacation, I went rafting in Tama river. It was a last day for my vacation. The reason why I enjoyed rafting such a right before my vacation would be over was I studied English in Australia for three weeks and came back to Japan in September 12; five days before my university classes would start. I couldn’t hang out with my Japanese friends in this summer. Therefore, I asked one of my friends to plan to go rafting with my circle members and went to the river. I spent amazing time even though it was my first time to play rafting.
Rafting is a sport which people enjoy in the river. We get on the raft with five or six people and go down the river. Each guy has to have a paddle and they must cooperate with each other in order to decide a course and avoid hitting big rocks. It’s very interesting and also exciting. If you have never done it, I recommend you to play rafting!

My Club Activity

Do you know lacrosse? Lacrosse is a kind of field sports and almost like basketball except for using a stick.  I belong to the lacrosse club in this university. We usually practice early morning and 5days in a week. I often use a first train for going to the practice. It is very hard and difficult for me to play lacrosse well, but I enjoy it.
We have almost 100 members in this club!!! and 43 poeple are same period as me!!!!

(it was taken after the practice in May, and almost all members are here)

(they are sooooooo noisy and crazy but nice and passionate XD)

I always appreciate that there are many great members, seniors, coach, and parents who support me very much.

We have an extremely important game on Oct.10. If you like, please come to watch and cheer up us!!!!! Although I can't play in this game, you will be deeply impressed our wonderful play, and you surely come to like LACROSSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite artist

Hi! Today I want write about my favorite artist. They are called BIG BANG. They are Korean artist. I love them so much. The reason why I love them is that every one of them sing song wonderfully and their songs are soooo good!!! What is more, they are handsome. My favorite member is called G-Dragon. He is super at rap. I love his solo songs too. And he is very handsome. I like his Smily face. But there is one thing that has been troubling BIG BANG fans. It is that they have to serve in the army. They are Korean men and have not been served in the army. This means that they have to stop being an artist for two years. It is so sad. But of course we BIG BANG fans will wait until they come back. But there is still time before they go, so I want to enjoy their new coming songs. Also I am going to their world tour in Tokyo in November!!! I am sosososo exited!!

About My Name

Hello, everyone.

Have you ever asked your parents about your name?

My name is Natsumi, and it comes from I was born in July, the midsummer.
Maybe the number of strokes was not good, my parents did not choose the kanji "Natsu" meaning summer. When I was a junior high school student, my name is often remembered wrong. I belonged to the calligraphy club at that time. A teacher who was in charge of this club, thought my name is Natsuko. And as he wrote my model of calligraphy, he wrote Natsuko at the left side. I don't know why he remembered my name in such a wrong way.

My name has a lot of strokes; I rarely encounter the person who has the same kanji.
Sometimes I feel hard to write my name throughout in kanji though, I like its visual appeal:)

All parents consider their baby's name deliberately and give many good meanings to the name. I want to cherish it.

I love my part-time job!

I work at Abercrombie & Fitch Ginza as a stock associate. I used to work as a brand representative but I switched.
The best part working there is that I can make many friends! Associates are so close to each other. One day, I went to Disney Sea with friends from Abercrombie. The other day, I  had dinner with associates only born in 1996. We hang out on weekends, after work, and even on days off.
I've had some part time jobs before, but I think this is the best part time job so far! I want to keep working there while I am in college.

My part-time job

Do you work part-time job??? If you work, what kind of part-time job do you do? Today, let me introduce my part-time job:)
Since this July, I have been work in Korean BBQ restaurant. Our restaurant isn't big enough to accommodate a lot of people. In addition, each customer spending is little expensive. The average spending is about from 6,000 yen to 10,000 yen each. The reason why I work there is that one of my friends introduce me to the owner. As I had never done part-time job until I started to work there, I worried a lot at first. But now, my coworkers are so kind to me that I enjoy working.
We serve authentic Korean BBQ. Therefore, there are three Korean cooks and two Korean waiters. Of course, they all can fluently speak Japanese to some extent. But in kitchen, the air is filled with Korean. Sometimes, they isolate me by using Korean. If that happens, I also try to speak to them in Korean, "I can't understand what you are talking about in Korean!!" As I wan to take part in their conversation, I always search Korean words on the Internet or ask them to teach me Korean. Two Korean waiters go to Japanese school. Instead of being taught Korean, I teach them English. So, now I study four languages, which are Japanese, English, French and Korean!!
There are a lot of what I should learn in my workplace. As I'm not planning to quit this part-time job, I want to experience more!

About this weekend

Good evening, everyone!
I want to write about this weekend.

There was an autumn festival this weekend near my house. This autumn
festival was held for worshiping God. This festival is sponsored by
neighbor around the shrine. Traditionally they came in front of my
house carrying Mikoshi which is the small house of God to pray my
family’s health. It was very an honor thing. Through this festival, I
could talk many neighbors. I think it is important thing to get along
with neighbors because we can help each other soon if something wrong
happen. My neighbors were very friendly, so I could spend fun time! I
want to join this festival next year too.

Dr Pepper

Have you ever drunk Dr Pepper? I bought it for the first time yesterday.  I had a bad image of Dr Pepper because some of my friends said "It is terrible!!" so I wanted to know how its taste was like.

I looked for the vending machine which sold Dr Pepper. I finally found it and paid 130 yen for the beverage. Then, I took it up and opened the can.

The taste was not so bad as I had expected. But it wasn't worth paying 130 yen. I will buy another drink next time...

About my exciting weekends.

Hi. I would like to talk about my weekends.

On Saturday, I met my four friends from high school.
First of all we met at 21:00 in the station called Tsudanuma to go to Karaoke.
One of my friends` birthday was on that day so I suggested the rest of my friends to celebrate her as a surprise. While she was out of the Karaoke room, we quickly decollated the room and prepared the birthday cake and some presents. The moment she opened the room, we pulled the party popper and sung the birthday song.
It was a pleasure to see her being pleased with our surprise.

The next day, we joined the event called “The Bubble Run”.
This is an event where are covered with bubbles and run about three kilometers.
When we arrived at the place, the weather was not so good so I was a little bit anxious whether it would start raining. However as we were running, the clouds cleared up.After we reached the goal we enjoyed the music festival and eating a lot.

I really enjoyed The Bubble Run and the two days which I spent with them was so exciting. Although we all go to different universities, I hope to see them soon again.

Three plans

It was  a wonderful day for me yesterday.
In the morning, I went to the cinema to see a movie with my sister.
She and I are twins. We are very close and we often go to see movies together.
We saw "Disqualification as a Heroine" . I am a fan of an actor who plays an important roll in this film. I think that this film was very funny :-)

After that, I went to the stadium to watch a baseball game.
One of my friends were waiting for me there.
We had reserved two tickets for bleachers and enjoyed the game!
We were happy because our team  won!
There will be no day when we can go there in this season but I am going to watch games frequently.

In the evening, I met two of my friends at the restaurant in my hometown.
We are members of the same club when we were high school students.
(There were only three in our grade.)
I talked a lot with them about memories in high school days and the life in AGU.
I would like to be friends with them forever.

"Yakitorinplc"

In this weekend, a city next to my town held "Yakitorinplic." It was an event collected national famous yaki-tori. The reason it was held in the city is yaki-tori is a supeciality of the city. Usually it's made of chicken, but in the city, it's made of pork and it's ate with spicy miso sauce. The most famous shop is in front of a station, so surrounding of the station is often nice smell. I've eaten it some times, and I like the miso sauce very much! I can't go the event in this weekend, but my father and sister went there yesterday. They bought yaki-tori made of Yonezawa beef. It cost 1,000 yen per one! It was very yummy. I became to eat more famous yaki-tori :)

My Summer Vacation

Hello!

Today, I'll talk about my summer vacation. I think almost all of you enjoyed your summer time. But I spent most of the summer vacation in studying English to take TOEIC test.

First, I want to tell you why I decided to take TOEIC. TOEIC is a good opportunity to improve English skills and will be a big advantage when I start looking for jobs in the future. But these are minor reasons. The main reason is that it was a reasonable excuse to quit my part-time job.  I had worked at restaurant until August. But it was too busy and I thought I couldn't work any more. So I told the manager that I would quit the job in order to get a qualification.

I used mock exams to prepare for the actual test.  At first, my score was not so good. It is hard to answer all questions because TOEIC requires speed and accuracy. But I reviewed over and over, my score was gradually better. At the last practice exam, my score was over 850 (full score is 990 ).

However, I couldn't do my best in the actual test... Although the time was running out, I didin't answer some questions. I makred some answers randomly in the end :(

Official score certificate will arrive in next month. I'm looking for it.

My high school

Good afternoon, everyone.

Today, I went to my high school`s school festival. It was lot of fun.
I met many friends, teachers, and juniors. They remind me of good old days.
I went to a girls high school which is in Kamakura. Its near the Yuigahama beach. I went to there for 6 years. I chose this only because the school uniform is pretty.
When I was in middle school, I hated school because the teachers and school rules were so strict, but after I became high school student, I realized how kind teachers were.
I still love and respect my homeroom teacher. She was such a educated woman. She was always concerned about students and thinks of us for the first priority. I first hated her because she was so strict to me. But I stared to realize that she is strict because she thinks of me very much. I feel very happy that she was my homeroom teacher for 5 years! I think, without her, I would never be the one that I am now.

I also the the friends that I met there. We are now all going to different school and going to different ways, so I miss them so much. But I believe that we could still keep in touch even if we became grandma!

I love my high school!  I wish to visit there again soon!

about myself

Hi my name is Rikako Yamamoto. Let me introduce about myself.

I was born in Tokyo and went to International school for 6 years and learned English there. I have a brother who is 2 years younger than me. I have a pet dog named Vanilla. She is a miniature Schnauzer and she is 9 years old.
I was in Kendo club when I was a junior high school and continued until I graduated high school. In Aogaku I am in swimming club as a manager. I have a practice every morning so it is tough for me to wake up and jobs are very difficult but I am having fun being with the members.

Thank you for reading my blog.

My new part-time job

I have two part-time jobs now. One is a clam school teacher, and the another is a cafeteria staff. Today, I'll talk about a cafeteria staff.
I started this part-time job recently. The shop is in Ikebukuro station, so it's always crowded. The job is very hard... Yesterday, I made a cash register strike for the first time. I was impatience, so I bothered to serious. Though I understood steps in my head, it was very difficult to do in fact.  I'll do my best to be accustomed to work calmly! If you work at a cafe, please give me advice.

My summer vacation has been like this.

Hello, everybody! Thank you for reading this blog.
This time, I would like to talk about my summer vacation.

I worked in the event in Shiodome "Shiodome Street Festival" in this summer 1st to 16th of August. It was very hot. But it was fun and wonderful experience.
I went back Kochi to take photo of my coming age of ceremony. I was very happy to wear gorgeous kimono.
I met my friend from Kochi at the end of August in Tokyo. We are friends since we were 1st grade of junior high school.  We went to Shimokitazawa and Shibuya. We had very good time in Tokyo. My friends are big fun of The Boy and the Beast. So we went to the exhibition.  They were so excited and I was very happy to see their happy faces.
At the end of the summer vacation, I went to Disney land with my friends. I am from the south, so I had no chance to go there so often. I’ve been there once before on the school trip.  It was typhoon, and not so many people was there. We were able to ride many attractions.

It was such a nice summer vacation.

Introduce Myself

Hello, everyone!
My name is Natsumi Uchida. It's my first blog posting so I'm going to introduce myself.

First, about my hometown. I was born in Tsukuba, Ibaraki. Have you ever been to Ibaraki? I guess some of you’ve been there for ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL at summer. It's held in Hitachinaka, the north part of Ibaraki. But I live in south. You know, Ibaraki is famous for Natto. I really like Natto, I can eat 2 or 3 packs at one meal. Also sweet potato and lotus root are local specialties.

Second I'm talking about my hobby. I like listening to music. My favorite singers are YUI and Spitz. YUI is my best favorite singer but I'm sorry that she stopped solo work. I have almost every CD album of hers. The tone of her songs are nice.

Third, the reason why I chose English department. I've been interested in language since I was in high school. And English is the most familiar second language. Now I'm very happy to be able to learn English every day. I want to deepen my knowledge about language and cultural things.

Thank you for reading.

HELLO~!!:-)

Thanks for reading my first blog!!!
I'm going to introduce myself to you.
My name is Sakura Kitahara and I'm 18 years old girl. I'm from Yokohama, Kanagawa prefecture. I've lived there since I was born! The reason why I choose this university and major is that just I liked English and wanted to improve my English for my future dream. I'm not good at speaking English and can't have confident of my English at all. So, I want to study hard in this class and be a great English speaker! At first, I have to overcome extreme sleepiness oppressing me every day......

My brothers

Do you have siblings? I have three great brothers and today I will write about them.

The oldest brother is four years older than me and studying in university. His one of the future dreams is to be a pilot, so he studies very hard. Because I haven't lived with him since I was 9, I don't know about him a lot but our relationship is good. We went to the UK this March together for a trip which was fun.

Younger brother who is 16 is surely my best friend. We send LINE nearly every day.  He is tall and very nice. We both like rap music and our favorite song is usually the same though I don't know why.
He is good at playing badminton, singing and thinking cool outfits. He also likes cycling.
We spent such a good time when he visited me this summer. I want him to come to Tokyo after he graduates high school so that we can live together!

The youngest brother has just entered junior high school this April. He is good at studying and seems to be enjoying school.
He learns boxing and is going to take part in a boxing match next year. Although I'm a little bit worried about him as boxing can be dangerous but I hope he'll enjoy it.

I am very proud of having the best brothers in the world. I love them so much!

My home town

Hello!

Today i'm goingt to talk about my hometown. Before i came to Tokyo  I lived in Shizuoka. Shizuoka prefecture, Shizuoka city, so i was living in the middle of Shizuoka. What i like about Shizuoka is the air and the people. There are mountains and rivers and seas around Shiuzuoka and what's mnore, we can see Mt. Fuji everyday. I can even see it from the window at my room. The people there are heart warmed and they are willing to help others everytime. When I was small, I got lost in the middle of the city. I didn't have my cell phone that time so I counldn't call my parent for help. After 10 minutes or so, one woman came up to me and asked my what happened and when I told everything that i was lost, she lent me her cell phone and i was able to call my family, I thanked her so much and the next day, my mother asked her adr3ess and sent her some gift. There are more stories about the Shisuzoka people but for today, I will finish it here. Thank you for reading my blog!

About my summer memory

Hellow.
I have a so great memory during summer vacation. It is my trip to Kansai. I have stayed there for about 4 days. The 6days made me so fun!
First day and second day, I visited Hiroshima. My friends of Aogaku visited with me. We visited Genbaku dome, Miyajima, and Hiroshima castle. I saw for the first time and was so moved. First day's night, we went to Matsuda studium to watch baseball game, Hiroshima vs Hanshin. I regret to say that my favorite team Tigers lost, but we enjoyed watching in the beautiful and big studium.
Three day and last day, my friends turn back to them hometown, so I tralelled alone.I visited Osaka.
In Osaka, I enjoyed eating!! Okonomiyaki, kushikatsu, and manjyu. food was so good!!
I want to go to Kansai again.

Where did you trip to during this summer vacation??

About myself

Hi, I'm Shiori Komori. Let me introduce myself a little bit.
I'm from Aichi, but not Nagoya. My hometown is called Okazaki. Okazaki isn't a big city, it takes thirty minutes by train from Nagoya. Do you know the character called Okazaemon? (Please see the picture below) He is a mascot character of Okazaki. He looks strange but actually he is really nice and friendly!
I now enjoy living alone in Tokyo. I'm working at a cram school near my house twice a week. It's really fun for me because my students are so cute and friendly. Also, I belong to Aoyama Announce Society. The club activities are all really fun so I'm enjoying the club activities too. My university life is so much fun!
Now, I'm worried about this IE3 program, but I will do my best to improve my English. Let's get over this course together! Thank you!

My summer vacation 2

Good morning!
I am so happy because it is Friday today!

In this blog, I want to continue to write about my summer vacation.

I have four friends who met each other when we were junior high school students. We went to different high school, but we often met and talked a lot.
We are spending busy days in university,so we usually meet twice a year.
And in this summer vacation, we planned the trip.
We decided to go to Yatsugatake in Yamanashi prefecture.
Do you know Yatsugatake? Yamanashi prefecture is surrounded by mountains, so in short, Yatsugatake is the one of those mountains.
It takes an hour to go Yatsugatake by train from Kofu city.

In Yatsugatake, we rent the cottage. It was very big, nice and new!
The cottage was made of woods, and the smell of woods made me relax.

We cooked Yakisoba and Okonomiyaki for dinner. It was very fun to cook with friends! After dinner, we played board games and Jenga all night.
It was my first experience to stay up all night. I didn’t feel any fatigue that time, but I slept like a dead person when I got home.

I made precious memories at Yatsugatake.
I think fun memories will stay in my brain for a long time, and it will become my treasure when I get more older.
I want to make more beautiful memories with them next year too!

About me

Hi everyone!
Well, my name is Yuki Ishioka. Please call me Yuki.
Today, I want to talk about myself.

I was born in Tokyo and moved to Hong Kong when I was 3 months old. I lived there for three years and then came back to Japan. So I don't have any memories of Hong Kong. Then, when I was in first grade, I had to move to New Jersey, America due to my fathers business reason. In America I had many difficulties with my English, but it was an interesting experience for me there. If I have a chance to go abroad, I want to visit New Jersey and meet my friends.

My hobby is to listen to music. One of my favorite artist is Arianna Grande. She is really cute and has nice voice, so if you haven't heard her song yet, I recommend  you to listen.
If you have any other artists that you recommend please let me know!!

Thank you for reading.

Baseball

I went to QVC Marine Field to watch a baseball game yesterday.
One of my friends loves baseball too and we always go to the stadium together.
Our favorite team is Chiba Lotte Marines which ranks 4th now.
By the end of this season, the team has to place top three to proceed "the Climax Series", so we had to win the game.
The stadium was too crowded because it was the last day of silver week yesterday.
There were few hits and the game was not so interesting ;-(
I like the game which there are a lot of hits, homeruns because it excites me!
But we were pleased because Marines won.
I hope that it willplace top three to participate in the Climax Series.

Part-time job

Evere since I was born, I have never earned money on my own.
I am given little money from my parent once in a month. I was able to live with it until high school, because I was alway doing my tennis club and didn't have time to spend it.
But when it comes to university, its different. We don't have school uniform so the pretty clothes are necessary, and in Tokyo, there are many yummy restaurants and cafes ( Which is very expensive.)

I had never experienced running out of money before so I have never done part-time jobs.
But I`m running out of money for the first time in my life! I got to start working as soon as possible.
I want to make full use of my English skill, so i am thinking of working at English clam school. But since I lived in America and use English without thinking any grammar, I can't teach children a  grammar.
Do you guys have any recommendation of working place?
If you do, please let me know!

About Myself

Hi, I'm Naomi Otani. Let me tell about myself and what I like.

I am from Toyota, Aichi. I'm part Brazilian. I have visited Brazil three times to see my grandparents. I have a brother. He is one year younger than I am. We are very close to each other and I love him so much!! When I was in high school, I lived in Texas for a year as an exchange student. It was such an amazing experience.

I like to listen to music. Here are my favorite singers, rappers and bands: Aerosmith, David Bowie, Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Queen. I like to listen to movie soundtracks. Because I can feel like a protagonist. I listen to Oasis, Louis Armstrong and Billie Holiday, too.

I like to watch movies, but only my kind of movies. I like Wes Anderson's movies and Jean-Pierre Jeunet's movies. I rarely watch action movies. My favorite movies: Amelie, Big Fish, High School Musical(haha). I recommend you all to see it.

List of random things I like: chocolate, ice cream, Ewan McGregor, cafe latte with no sugar, perfume, fabric softener, hand sanitizer, milk, grocery stores, cute notebooks, money, airports, seats by the window, looking out at the window. There are more stuff I like to do.

I want to travel and see a lot of places. Because I believe it will be a good life experience. Traveling one place (out of Japan) a year is one of my goals in college.

Thanks for reading my blog.
Good night, people.

 (I took this in Brazil!)

My introduction

Hello. I'm Asano Kitamura.
Today, I want to talk about myself.

I've lived in Tokyo with my family since I was born. So I want to try to live alone someday. I have a sister and she is older than me by six years. I like to spend time with her.
My hobby is listening to music and watching movies. Recently I watched "Letters to Juliet". It was nice and I liked it. If you have some favorite movie, please tell me.
I'm working at cram school as a part-time job. There, I teach Japanese and English. I like to talk with students very much because they tell me about their school life. It is fun to work at there.

I belong to Aoyama festival executive committee in this university. I'm very looking forward to that festival! Are you looking forward to it, too?

I don't have any experience that had lived abroad. So I'm anxious about this IE3 class.
But I want to brush up my English skill in this university.
Thank you for reading.

Silver week

How was your silver week?
I had a good time! I have an elder brother and he lives in Osaka. He works at a company that makes bicycle parts. He came back to Tokyo for silver week and we went for a family trip for the first time in six years or so... We went to Izu in Shizuoka prefecture. We stayed at a hotel by the seaside and we enjoyed ONSEN, the Japanese hot spring. The meal was delicious, the view was beautiful, and the weather was great too! It was only a night but we enjoyed it very much. The other days I worked, I danced and studied just a little bit like usual.
The silver week is over and normal busy days are going to start. Today I'm struggling with IE core homework. I searched for a book for book report and still struggling with media discussion. But when tomorrow is over, it's weekend!! yeah! Let's go over it!!
see you tomorrow

My summer vacation

Hi! How are you doing?
In this blog I want to write about my summer vacation.
I want to write many things about my summer vacation, but I want to write one of those in this blog.

Actually, I took the driver’s license during summer vacation.
It took a month to take it.
When I drove the car for the first time, I was very nervous.
I couldn’t stop sweating. But my driver’s skill got better and better as I drove the car a lot.

Thanks to many good driving instructors, I could take driver’s license smoothly.
The driver’s license is very useful because I can go anywhere without any fatigue.
I am not so good at driving yet, but I want to go many places by myself.
The only way to brush up my driver’s skill is just driving a lot!
Many experiences will also give me confidence. I want to become a good driver soon!

Let's play sports in fall!

Hellow.

In Japan, it is said that fall is  the best season for sports.  I like playing sports very much.

My favorite sports is baseball and tennis. I have been a member of high school baseball team.
Thus I have played baseball for about 10 years. And I have started playing tennis since I became a university student. I am a member of HERMITS tennis club. I have been fascinated by charm of playing tennis since then. Playing tennis is so fun for me. My love for tennis is so big that I have come to go to tennis school to play it better. My class is on every Friday's night. I always put my heart into enjoying tennis.

These days, I want to play baseball again. So I sometimes take part in sandlot baseball team.
Last week, I took part in the game of sandlot baseball. It was so interesting. I feel that I love playing basebann after all.

By the way, there is a saying in Japan, "supotsu no aki." In fall, we can play many sports in comfortable condition. Let's play many sports in this season!!

Recent my hobby:)

Have you ever done darts? I have been interested in darts recently. It was not until the end of this July that I started darts. Until this July, I had not thought I would play darts. That is because I thought I took it for granted that boys played darts. At first, I couldn't hit the target with any darts. As I didn't know how to play and how to throw darts, one of my friends told me the rule. It was difficult for me to grasp a timing of releasing a finger from a dart and to learn how to use my arm.
In just the other day, I went to Shibuya to play darts. My favorite kind of darts are 01 and Cricket. When it comes to 01, I always play the 01 which we count down from 301 to 0 by hitting darts board. At first, it is OK to throw darts without concerns. When my score become around 50, counting down to 0 become harder and harder. But this hardness makes me excited!! When we play Cricket, concentration is required. We must hit the mark whose number is from 15 to 20 and bull. As I developed my ability to hit the board which I want to hit exactly, I earn much more score of mine than before.
If someone likes to play darts like me, please speak to me and, if possible, play darts with me!!

My silver week

In this "Silver week", I went back to my hometown to see my family and friends.

My hometown is Kofu city, Yamanashi Prefecture.

It is a rural, but really nice to live.

I don't think there is anywhere interesting to go or anything to do, however it is not a boring place at least for me.

When I back to my hometown, getting off train at Kofu station, and look around the landscape or mountains surrounding us, I always want to be proud of my hometown.

In the middle day of my holidays in there, I went to Shosenkyou fall which is really beautiful place.

Especially, in fall, leaves on trees become beautiful red and orange and it is so nice!!!!

I'm so sorry I forgot to take picture but if you have chance to go there....please try!!

Especially, in Autum.

My Introduction

My name is Rika Yoshimura. I live in setagaya now but my hometown is Okinawa.
I came to Aoyamagakuin because I wanted to live in a big city. Also I was interested in English so I decided to study it.
Now I belong to ski club. I'm from south edge of Japan so I have never played ski. I am going to do it for the first time in the winter. I feel nervous but I want to do my best.

I feel very nervous about IE in fall term because it is very different from that in spring term.
The teachers seem more strict to me. What is more, I am not good at English compared to other students in my class. But I have to do my best so I'll work hard.

My Introduction

My name is Akane Sasano.
I`m from Kisarazu, Chiba.
My hobby is watching baseball games and I have been a fun of Chiba Lotte Marines for about eight years!
I was a leader of drama club when I was a high school student.
And now, I belong to a footsal circle and an allround circle.

I have two part-time jobs.
I`m teaching English at a cram school and I am a waitress at a Japanese restaurant.
The restaurant where I`m working offers delicious meals :-)
I love eating very much!

Nice to meet you!

Zepp Tokyo

Did you enjoy Silver Week? I went to Zepp Tokyo in Odaiba (a music hall ) last Sunday. One of my favorite rock band, "androp" performed a live show. I was really looking forward to the live performance. But I didn't have a ticket and enough money to buy one, so I only bought some goods (3 badges). Now, I fasten one of the badges to my backpack.

If I had had a ticket, I could have seen the concert... Those who saw the live show said it was great on Twitter. But I enjoyed shopping and now, I like androp more than ever. If you become interested in androp, why don't you watch some music videos?

Zepp Tokyo

Introduction

Hi! I'm Ayaka Suzuki.
I'm from Mie prefecture. I live in a very country side of it and  my house is surrounded by lots of green and beautiful mountains. Currently, I live in Kawaguchi, Saitama prefecture.
My hobby is to watch movies and the latest movie I've seen is Jurassic World. It's a great movie so I recommend you to watch!
I belong to Aoyama Announce Society which is a club. In this club, we do things like MC, Voice Acting, and  Program Producting. It's enjoyable and I really like this club.

There are so many clubs and cirles at this university, and I only know few of them. So I want to ask you, What kind of club or Circle do you belong to?

My Introduction

Hi. I'm Jun Yamaguchi. This is the first time to write IE blog, so I'd like to tell you about myself.

I live in Akiruno city with my family. Akiruno city is in the western part of Tokyo but there are a few tall buildings. Instead, my hometown has beautiful trees, rivers and mountains.

I like listening to music, especially Japanese rock music. I know many Japanese rock bands. And my hobby is playing guitar. I bought my new guitar last month!

Since I have no experience of going abroad, my English is not so good. But I want to improve my English skills through IE classes.  Thank you for reading my first blog!!

About me

Hello guys! I'm Yuriko Koide. I come from Hakodate, Hokkaido. I was born and brought up in there. I really love my hometown. I will write about it sometime.
I like to listen to rap music. My favourite rapper is 2Pac. His songs have touching lyrics and beautiful beats. I also listen to Rakim, Nas, Eminem... if you know any good rap song, please let me know!
I don't belong to any circle or club activity but I am a member of black baito union, so I sometimes work on its activity. What we recently do is to negotiate with a company which runs syabusyabu onyasai. Some of you might know this as it has been the top of Yahoo news. Our activity is not only negotiating with a company but also to study about social problems especially about labour problems. It is not easy to solve such problems or change what bad company does but I believe what we do plays an important role in society.
My part time job is teaching at a cram school. I started this job because I love kids. The job is not always fun (a parent got mad at me on the phone just 2 days ago!) but I am enjoying studying with kids. Do you do any part time job?
I don't think I am a sociable person but I like to communicate with people. I hope I can talk to everyone in the class through IE. Thank you for reading and have a good night!

My profile

Today, I'll introduce myself.
I've lived in Saitama prefecture since I was born. My town is very country, so it hasn't a station... I drive my car to a station at the next city. You may be surprised at my having an own car, but in my town, we can't live without ourselve cars! Although it has passed only 9 months since I got the driver's license, I was accustomed to driving because I drive everyday.
I've been learning piano since I was 4 years old. I join a piano club now. Though it's difficult to take time to practice because I'm busy, I'll continue to play the piano from now on.
I like Disney! But I don't have my annual passport yet... I want it someday!
My favorite singers are arashi and ONE OK ROCK. Let's talk with me about them if you also like them!

I want to ask you, what is your dream or what do you want to be in the future?

A new start in IE3

Hi ! Are you enjoying your holidays?
I would like to introduce myself.
I'm Nami. I was born in Nagoya. Since then, I've been moving around because of my dad's job.
I've lived in Osaka, Thailnad and Tokyo. I have been to Germany too!
In Thailand I went to an International school and that was a start of studying English. Actually, I didn't want to go to an International school in a country where I don't know. I was too scared to go to a school where they teach everything in English. I was too young for that. I was about to be an elementary student. But my elder brother wanted to go  to International school... Unbelievable. He is so challenging. That made me feel even worse, going to a different school as my brother at a new place. So I decided to go to an International school. Now I appreciate my brother's decision. That now I like English and I'm here in Aoyamagakuin University.
I don't belong to any club here in Aogaku, but I belong to an inter-college dance club.I've been doing ballet since I was 5. I still continue ballet also. In the dance club I dance Jazz and hiphop. I enjoy very much.
I have a part time job near school which I started during the summer holidays. Before, I worked near my house at a coffee shop.

In this class I am a little anxious about the homeworks and a lot of things we have to do, but at the same time I am excited about seeing new people and improving my English.
Let's have fun together in this class!!

About my book report.

Hello!
Today is the last day of silver week!
Do you have any plans to go out?

Right now I`m doing my book report which is required to submit in the American literature Introduction class. The book I chose to write is called "The Great Gatsby" which is written by
F.S Fitzgerald.
In 2013 this book was made into a movie and Leonardo Dicaprio played the main character, Gatsby so maybe you have heard about this book.
If you have time, I would recommend that you read the book.

Since I`m in the department of English, I would like to read plenty of books.
If you have any recommend books, please tell me!

Self-Introduction

I live in Chiba and it takes about one hour to go to Aogaku.
When I was in junior high school and senior high school I belong to the brass band and played the clarinet. Although I don`t join the brass band in university, I still play the clarinet in my house when I have time.
My hobby is playing the piano which I have learned since I was five. I really love music!

About ME !

Hi! I'm Kaho Nakano.
It's my first time to write a blog. I hope you guys enjoy it!

I live in Jiyuugaoka, Tokyo now. But I was born and grew up in Chigasaki,Kanagawa.
As I entered university, and my brother was also a university student in Tokyo, we've decided to move. Jiyuugaoka is really convenient ! It only takes 10 minutes or so to Shibuya !
What I love about this place is not only good access, but also its fashionable places. There are many cafe and shops. It's really interesting just strolling the town.
When I was in elementary, I lived in America for 2years because of my father's business. I think that 2years changed my life. I would never loved studying English if I hadn't gone to America. That means I would never entered Aogaku ! Also I made wonderful friends there. I feel that they made me who I am today!

In university, I join Aoyama soaring team. We ride on a air plane called glider that has no engine. It's really difficult to explain here about how they are able to fly with no engine, so please ask me and I will explain it to you enthusiastically.
I love the seniors there because they are all nice and earnest. I respect them very much and I want to be like them someday.

In this IE class I want to improve my English and want to express what I'm thinking in English !
Let's do our best guys!!!

My Silver Week

Hi, I'm Maya:) Are you enjoying Silver Week? I'll tell you about an incident of this Silver Week.
I join a piano club. At the day before yesterday, a concert was held in an atelier at Yoyogi. It was a joint concert with two piano clubs of Aoyama Gakuin University and Rikkyo University, so it's called "Aoritsu." Though I didn't play the piano that day, I enjoyed listening to other people's play.
After the concert ended, we held a cast party and played darts. I've never play darts. It was more difficult than I imagined, so I couldn't even shed darts a target at first! But because seniors taught me how to shoot darts very kindly, I improved my skill little by little. Throughout darts, I could interact with Rikkyo Unversity students.
Listening to other's plays, I was inspired. I'm going to play the piano at Sagamihara festival and Aoyama festival. I'll do my best!

Today's happening

Today, my three friends and I was planing to go to Mitsui Outlet Park Yokohama bay side and to enjoy shopping.
One of my friends picked me up by car and we were heading to Yokohama. Two out of four can drive a car. Those who can drive took turns at the wheel. On the way, we stopped by a family mart to take turns at the wheel. 1 hour later, we arrived at the outlet park.
"Let's go shopping‼", I said. Suddenly, one of my friends said, "Wait‼" We asked him, "What's happened?" Then, he said, ".........Where's my shoe???" As we looked his boots, there was his left boot nowhere. We struggled to look for his boot. However, we can't see it anywhere in the car. Then, He said, "....Oh!!! I remember!!! I left it at family market on the way. When we stopped by there, I took off my boots. When I closed the door, my boot may fall down from the car." This happening made our shopping turn into driving.
After that, we called some family marts ,which are along the way we drove, one after another. The first, second and third family marts we called said there was no boot. 30 minutes after we started to look for his boot, we were giving up to look for. When I called the last family mart and I asked the clerk whether there was boot at its parking, the clerk tell there was his boot!!
When we reached the family mart, it was already 6 o'clock. Finally, our shopping turned into driving from Tokyo to Yokohama.
