I've been sick for a while, and I'm falling behind with work!!!
It's probably too late now, but I'm going to write about the relationship between the two guys in the banana video. I think that the guy with the banana is a person the main guy knows by sight, probably from his English class in college. The main guy set up a party and the banana guy was invited indirectly through their mutual friends.
In the short animation film, 'Clod', I think the author is trying to tell us that life is one big cycle. And no matter what happens to you, you will find your way out of the problem eventually.
