I thought very hard and reached to an conclusion that the relationships between the man and the "banana master" is quite beyond understanding!
Firstly the man has an party wakes up, looks in his calender that his parents are coming. At this point you can see there is only trash and no friends around to help him. I think that his friends had gone out while he was sleeping, so I thought the banana master is not his friend.
Secondly, the banana master cannot be his neighbour because he suddenly appeared out of thin air without coming through the front door.
From these points and his knowledge of bananas I think the banana master is God himself. That will explain the strange disappearance after he cleans his house and that Jesus like hairstyle!
