What we learn from shogi

Hello, everyone!  This is Shinnosuke.
Last time, I wrote about the rule of shogi and my shogi life.
This time, I want to write about what we learn from shogi.

First, I think shogi reflects Japanese culture well.
We usually play shogi on a quiet room with tatami.
Tatami is one of the most important cultural things in Japan, and through shogi, we can touch it.
Next, we learn Japanese-style manners.
Before starting a game, you have to say "Onegaishimasu." to thank your opponent for playing shogi with you.
In addition, when you lose the game, you also have to say "Mairimashita." to admit that you have lost the game.
My instructors often said to me "As long as you don't learn manners in shogi, you will never be good at shogi."
This is very important in playing shogi.
I highly recommend you learn how to play shogi and enjoy it!

Thanks.
