Symbol: The two octopuses are a symbol that it its not always easy even if you love each other. There will always be problems that you constantly have to face.
Irony: The whole story is then two octopuses run? swim? for their lives and just as they thought all of their problems were solved another problem pops up.
Theme: Lovers being separated and fighting to be reunited with one another.
What will happen next: I think they will reunite in the sea far away from where they are now and start a family. Then their baby octopus will be taken to an aquarium and the parents will have to go after the baby octopus to the aquarium where they will reunite with the man in the van.
