Craste, M. [Creator, director] (2009)
Varmints. London: Studio AKA.
Who: The varmint, supposedly a male from the range of its growls.
What is happening: A world that was once filled with a meadow is turned into a city that pollutes. The main varmint carries a single twig from a tree he failed to save as a hole, and he grows it in a small pot. It is the only source of nature in the gray city.
When: The whole deforestation occurred at the beginning, right as the varmint is taking a nap.
Where: In a bright meadow adorned with bees and dandelions to a dark city with waste and soot all around.
Why is this happening: The whole deforestation is happening because the rats carried a city to the meadow the varmint lived in, killing all life and burying it under the cold concrete.
How does it end: It ends with a monster in the shape of a jellyfish carries the varmint and its plant along with the same species of varmints found in the beginning of the video. The varmint is sheltered with its friends inside the jellyfish that creates a whole meadow.
