Public holidays

Hello, I hope you all enjoyed your little break during golden week.

Since we just had public holidays during golden week, I want to talk about public holidays. Don't you guys think Japan has a lot of public holidays? New year's Day, Labor day, Emperor's Birthday you name it. There are even days that celebrate(?) the ocean and mountain. I searched up on the internet about how many public holidays there are in Japan and it came up with 16 days. I stayed in a country called New Zealand and we only had about 5. Is 16 days a lot? How many public holidays or national holidays does your country have? I only know that America has thanks giving day.

In Italy we had 2 and a half months of holiday, from mid-June to the beginning of September. That explains the laziness :) trains always arrive late :(

Really, that's interesting. Yeah New Zealand is the same. Busses never arrive on time. You need to add about 10 minutes extra time from the time that says on the bus schedule.
