Floor Nap

When June rolls around, it means the following:

No.1 It's rainy season.

No.2 No more hay fever.

No.3 It's pride month.

But most importantly, No.4 I get to sleep on the floor without catching a cold.

Now, when I say sleep on the floor, I don't mean laying down on a soft mattress carefully placed on the floor. I'm also not referring to those carpet-covered floors. I'm talking about full on laying down on a solid, hardwood floor.

Some people say that's psychotic. I would argue it to be a therapeutic experience. Naps are great in itself, but when it happens on the floor... it's a whole different experience.

Yes, my bed is located literally 5 centimeters away from where I'm currently laying. And yes, I can feel my bones rubbing against the wooden plank. But that's what makes it pleasurable. The neck cracks afterwards are seriously next level.

During the winter time, I don't get to do that. The floor is freezing cold and laying there for even a minute will make me shiver. But now that it's getting warmer... I get to do that whenever I want.

I have yet to meet a fellow floor sleeper, but I am convinced I am not alone. If you are interested, do try it the next time you're about to fall asleep. It's absolutely life changing.

Just woke up from one. What's this reason you refer to?

The only time you are allowed to sleep on the floor is on the Tatami

Well my reason is kinda stupid. To be fair I don't really like sleeping on floors but I have 潔癖症 so I can't go inside the bed unless I have a decent shower right before sleep.
