Cleaning my room

Today I spent almost all day cleaning my room. Recently I hadn't done it so much. So today I did it very hard. As a result, my room became much better than before. Also, I was able to refresh. It was a good change of pace. A new week will start from tomorrow and I have a lot of things to do. I want to deal with them positively.

The Theme of Varmints

I think “Varmints” represents the destruction of nature caused by industrialization. In my opinion, the creator of this animation wants us to think about the environment deeply.

When I watched the beginning of this animation, I felt peaceful atmosphere. There was beautiful nature and the hero of this animation looked so happy. But after that, this nature was destroyed by the construction of many buildings. The air was getting dirty and the atmosphere was also getting gloomy. In the last scene, the space in which there was the wonderful nature appeared. This space was separated from the industrialized world. The hero had difficulty in going there but finally, he could. The scene of the industrialized world seen from that space was terrible. When I watched it, I felt sad.

I think we have to think about the present environment seriously. I suppose this animation tells us the importance of thinking about the environment. Our world is developing in various aspects but I think we should think about not only development but also the environment.

Varmints

Hello, it’s been quite a while. Sorry for being lazy to blog. I’m catching up as fast as possible from now on.
Let me talk about Varmints. I couldn’t recognize what creature the central character is but I guess it’s a rabbit or a mouse or something combined. Anyway, that is not important. What is important is what the creator trying to tell us through the eyes of the central character in the movie. He loves nature obviously and tries to preserve it, but the urbanization wrecks the nature instantly… then after a while, bright jelly fish kind of looking something saves varmints by catching them into their heads. And there is everything that the central character loves; trees, grasses, and flowers. Firstly I thought that unknown object which saves varmints is a spaceship which takes them to another clean planet and abandon the earth completely because it’s too late. But then I though it’s heaven. The city kills all varmints and they go to heaven. I really didn’t get the meaning of the movie. To me, it looked like he’s trying to say that saving earth is too late now. So abandon it just let it go. People are sick and get lost in the modern systematization. They don’t know what is right or wrong, they just stick to the majority or something.
In the end, although I was pretty confused by it, I really liked it. Because the pictures and the music are astonishingly beautiful and spectacular. I think I need to watch it again to understand it deeply.

Chiisana ikimono

I was so impressed by Varmints.
Firstly, I like its background music. Ambient has been one of my most favorite kinds of music, and most of the BGMs for Varmints are exactly the ambient tracks.

Anyway, watching Varmints, I guessed that the director wanted to satirize the present society. Humankind has been constructing many buildings, and at the same time, we have destroyed nature, and polluted the air. In the movie, the rich nature appeared in the introductory part was cleared away, and there appeared an urban city where many buildings stood close together. There was a rubbish heap on each building, and the smoke discharged from factories seriously polluted the environment so that many inhabitants (each one seems to be a worker) walked streets coughing badly as if they’d been black sick zombies. In such a terrible situation, the hero seemed to struggle to protect what were familiar and precious for him: small living things. And I felt the story was telling that nature can come to life again extricating itself from polluted world if there is a single person who fights to protect it. He tried to protect the small nursery-tree until the end. Varmints made me feel like even such small effort can save the world. It’s beautiful, I think.

Lastly, I wanna tell you that Varmints reminded me of one song, Chiisana ikimono by Spitz. You can watch the official video clip on YouTube, so I wish you will watch it when you’re at leisure. This song matches the movie very much!

It was the 22nd of november where my risktaking challenge in the debate tournament took place. The tournament was also referred as a freshman debating tournament where it involves a severe competition between freshmen. I wasterribly nervous and ambitious at the same time because of the immense and dreadful practice that I had to overcome. I also had a disastrous pressure since my seniors provided me enthusiastic advice and strategy. I was uncertain if I could utilise their advice to the best outcome. Unfortunately, I also caught a cold which lead to theprevention of my best performance. Because of my unfaithful condition, I failed in sufficiently supporting my honorable partner. However, the result ended in an unexpected outcome. I was ranked 9th in the top ten speaker which seemed like I was able to show my potential skill after all. Because of this precious experience, I attained a huge incentive to strive myself for the future.

I had the most fascinating sleepover experience in brianne's house. Firstly,We enjoyed splendid cuisine at a famous restaurant and had  refreshing conversation about our private lives. After we enjoyed our relaxing time, she escorted me to her fancy mansion. I was agitated as soon as i saw her room filled with abundant numbers of mickey mouses. Her room seemed as if it were a world of fiction and ever-lasting fantasy. Next, we decided to watch movies through the night. We firstly watched beauty & beast which made us inspiring at the end, as the protagonist gave us the opportunity to consider about our future. Overall, i had the most precious and unforgettable moment in my weekend.

The movie I watched this Monday

Hello. This Monday, I watched "Miracle Devil Claus' Love and Magic". As I wrote in my last blog, my favorite actor, Masaki Aiba, played its main character, Hikaru. It was first time for him to play main character in the movie.
It is love story of four people. Hikaru, who want to be a cartoonist, is very pure and gentle. He always rely on his childhood friend, Anna. Actualy, she loves him but he falls in love with the illumination artist, So-yeon without noticing Anna's mind. And she cheer his love with So-yeon
while she was struggled. However, So-yoen could not forget her onetime boyfriend...

I think I am similar to Hikaru in that I cannot notice what others really think and always rely on someone. And I tend try to avoid the cold, hard fact of the situation like him. But he is different from me in that he is eager to try to realize his dream. Though his comic is not popular, he keeps his style which is so simple, and pure that reader was moved by his word. His attitude to try to realize his dream honestly was fascinating for me.

It is heartwarming story. I will watch it again!!
Hi Natsuki. Today I'm going to write about the lunch with my senior at my debate club. She educated me a lot before the tournament I joined and cheered me up. So I have a lot of thanks to her. So I was very happy to have a lunch with her.

And this is a picture shows what I ate. It was so nice and I had a great time with her.

Autumn

Hi!
I like to see Ginkgo and blue sky. I took a picture which became my favorite picture. It was taken in Aoyama Gakuin University. My image of university is a street lined with Ginkgo trees. This university has it. So the university is good to my image. I like this landscape. I want to take more pictures.

Today there is ignition festival of Christmas tree in the university. I'm looking forward to seeing beautiful Christmas tree. Maybe I will take a picture of it.

Christmas is coming

Oh baby it's cold outside~!
Do you know this line from famous Christmas song? I love it.

Recently I listen to certain Christmas songs while I go to college.
Last Christmas, all I want for Christmas is you are very famous and I report these many times because various singers covered these and taste of songs are surprisingly different from singer to singer. I enjoy those differences.
Of all covers I listened to, Ariana Grande's version of All I want for Christmas is you was amazing. Her voice is miracle. Let's go to YouTube and watch it. It seems special live or kind like that and she's wearing Santa costume.

I think the best Last Christmas is glee version. Lea's soft but strong voice is worth your time.

I can't wait Christmas!

Delicious time!

Good morning!
Yesterday after 1st period of IE class, I and some IE friends went out for lunch.

We ate omelet rice at Pomu no ki. It was on the other side of the avenue from Aogaku.

I ate this after a long time, maybe this was second time in my life. Wow.
It was of course delicious, eggs were boiled gently and creamy and matched with chicken rice.

Moreover I and Saki had French toast, our stomachs were like black hole.
Breads were well soaked to restaurant's original soup and so sweet. I want to know how to make their soup and try.
Why didn't I take a pic of it? I don't know.

Though it was raining and heavily and blowing hardly, I could have fun time with my lovely friends.

Jazz Live

I'm going to write about last Sunday. I went to Shinjuku with my friend and junior of high school to see my senior's live. He belongs to big band. This band performed with Eric Marienthal who is a famous jazz sax player in America. I went there to see and listen to because my senior had invited me. To tell the truth, it is the first time that I saw his live. But I really enjoyed! Members of the band looked enjoyable too. My senior played the drums. He confronted Eric Marienthal ad lib. My senior won because he made Eric Marienthal laugh. So the site got excited very much. I want to see his live again if I have an opportunity.

IE LUNCH

Yesterday, after first period, I went to Pomunoki for lunch with IE member, Saki, Shiori, Chinone, and Kanako. It was so cold rainy day I wanted to eat something hot. So I was happy to eat rice omelet. The omelet was so yummy and it was obviously different from the one I make by myself. We talked a lot about part time job and laughed a lot. I spend very good time. I love my IE class member;) Next time, let's go to eat lunch together!

Lunch time

Yesterday, after the 1st period, I went to "Pomu no ki" for lunch with Shiori, Kanako, Saki, Shiori and Miyui. There were so many kinds of rice omelets that it was hard to choose. At last, I chose the one that was covered with demiglace and cheese.  Surprisingly, there were cheese not only the surface but also under the omelete. Since I like cheese very much, it was very delicious!
Though I left there earlier than others because of my part-time job, I could have a good time. I want to go again :)

Happy Time

Hi! Today, I went to the restaurant with Saki, Kanako, Miyui and Miwa.

These days, I was very busy, so I couldn't make time to talk with them.
everyone talked about their past-time job.I do, but I am not busy working because I concentrate ondoing my club activity.

I stimulated to their efforts.
Instead of their part-time job, I try to do discussion harder than now.

my sister's birhtday

Last saturday was my sister's birthday. In my house, there's a custom that a party would be held every time when someone's birthday comes. We went out to eat sushi this time. It was one of her favorite foods and I also love it. After that in the house we ate a cake. A cheesecake and a chocolate cake. Although this day was my sister's birthday, maybe I enjoyed it more than my sister.

Misunderstanding

Hi. Yesterday, I only had first period class due to the cancelation of the third period class. So I went out to eat lunch with some of the IE members: Miwa, Miyui, Kanako and Shiori right in front of Aogaku.

I ate omelette rice with Demi-glacé sauce and cheese in between the egg and the rice. It was super delicious. The eggs were so soft.

After eating up everything, Kanako and I ordered French toast for desert. Unfortunately I forgot to take picture of it but of course it was so good. Eggs were nicely soaked into the bread.

After the lunch I went shopping. I went to Omotesando to look for iPhone booklet shaped case I've always wanted to have. While I was waking toward Tokyu Plaza, I was stopped by a hair stylist. I thought I would be asked to be a cut model which I once dreamed of being asked. But she was just looking for some customers, not a cut model. I was quite embarrassed. I deny her by saying "I have no money with me." But she said, "Can't you go to the bank and withdraw some money?" So I said "I don't have a cash card with me." And she finally said okay and walked away. She walked away as if she had not talked to me. She changed her face and walked away. It was a bit scary. I think I experienced a situation which I would no be able to experience if I were in Aichi, my hometown.
And I bought this iPhone case. I love it.

Christmas Party at My Ballet School

In my ballet school, Christmas party is held every year. We rent an assembly hall and gather there.

In this party, a closing ceremony is also conducted. There is a commendation ceremony which praises students who didn’t miss their classes and those whose absence was few. Such students are given cushions. The shapes of these cushions are heart and they are made by teachers and seniors. I also have gotten it. By the way, students with no absence can get bigger ones. Many students are pleased with them.

Christmas party is held after a closing ceremony. In this party, “The Nutcracker” is performed by teachers and students. The interesting point of this performance is that we can watch it with the explanation of this work told by our principal. It is because it will help children understand this work. I think not only children but also seniors can enjoy this explanation. Of course, performance also pleases us.

Another interesting point is that after this party, we can take many oranges freely. There is a corner in which many oranges are put. It is because my ballet school has trees of oranges. They taste very good and I like them.

I like my ballet school’s Christmas party. I think many students also like it and it is good event.

Explanation about Oden

Yesterday, I did my part-time job at the convenience store. During my shift, a foreigner came into the store to buy something.
The man cannot speak Japanese at all, so I helped him by waiting on customer.
He wanted to buy oden near a cash register, so I asked him what he wanted to choose.

Wondering that he didn’t know that food, I gave him a simple explanation about oden in easy English. I was not sure that he could totally understand my words, but he seemed to be delighted to hear that. I was also happy to see him.
There are a lot of foreign people in Tokyo, so I thought that I should practice serving terms in English as soon as possible.

Father's birthday present

On November 21 was my father’s birthday, so I sent him a box of cake by home delivery service. Since he likes to eat sweets, so I decided to do that. Few days later, I got a call from him, and I was really delighted to hear that my father liked it very much. If I had a time, I would make something to him, so I am planning to do it next year. Now, all I can do is to do something little because I cannot afford to earn money.
If possible, I want my parents to invite the travel to Australia, spending my money I earned by part-time job. By doing so, I think i can do a repeyment of a kindnedd to them:)

To Mizuki (My First Encounter with English and My English Life)

Hi, it's Shinnosuke.  It's raining now.  Where have the sunny days of every Friday gone?
I would like to comment to Mizuki's second latest post.

Your post is very good and attractive for me.
I enjoyed reading it, so let me write about a similar topic.
My first encounter with English was, to tell the truth, when I was a kindergarten child.
I had not told anyone this since I entered AGU, but a few moments ago, I confessed.
At that time, I went to a English conversation school, but this doesn't mean I could speak English very fluently (maybe so, because my memory about this is not so clear).
According to my family, I could already spell all the names of month like January.
It's unbelievable.
When entering elementary school, I left the school because I seemed to make much noise with another student during classes (lol) and because my mother became busy.
During my elementary school life, I did not study English at all.
In other words, there was a six years blank.
When I entered junior high school, names of month had completely disappeared from my memory, and I felt that English class was the hardest and disliked it.
However, my English teachers at junior high school were kind and taught me English very hard, so my English improved gradually, and English became my favorite subject.
Moreover, in high school, I encountered with good English teachers, and they had a great influence on me.
That's why I take teaching course for high school English teacher.
During my high school days, I studied only English and my grades of other subjects were so bad, but I don't think it was wrong because I was able to enter Aogaku thanks to that.
In Aogaku, there are many students who are much better at English than me, and they have had good effects on me.

This is my English life.
I would like other IE members to write about their first encounter with English and English life.
I know all of you are very busy, so if you have time,...

BLD Cubing

Recently I started to practice BLD Cubing. BLD Cubing means Blindfolded Cubing. It is a kind of solution of the Rubik’s Cube. When players do BLD Cubing, they solve Rubik’s Cube without looking at it. First of all, they look at the cube very carefully and memorize the state of it. Next, they blindfold themselves and solve it keeping their memory. Actually, I have tried to master it before, but eventually I gave up because it was hard for me. BLD Cubing requires a lot of concentration and time. So I lost my motivation. However, recently I felt like practicing it again. I want to definitely master it this time!

The first book report

As you know, I read “And Then There Were None” for the first book report. To tell the truth,  I’ve rarely read mystery novels since I’m not good at inferring and don’t like the scenes someone gets injured. So I didn’t know why I chose the book and worried whether I could enjoy the story.

But it seemed that there was no need to worry about such things, I could enjoy it while I was completely deceived and tossed about by Agatha Christie till the end.  In addition, after the reading, I noticed that I was absorbed in her novel despite the first hesitation in mystery. And now I really want to read other novels she wrote.

I think that there are still many attractive things which I don’t know yet around me and should be active about trying something new.

Unexpectedly...

I entirely forgot to post this blog! I think my sense of accomplishment made me so, it was hard for me to finish the book report.
I read  a walk to remember by Nicholas Sparks, and I watched the movie of this book. The story focused on heroine's life and occurrences around her and Landon.
In the movie Jamie which is heroine's name was acted by Mandy Moore. Some of you might heard her name once. I was one of those.
There were several scenes in which heroine sang songs and Mandy's voice was very pure and beautiful. Then I searched about her on the Internet and surprisingly she acted Rapunzel's singing voice in Tangled!!!!! I love the movie and had watched too much times to count. I was glad to know this unexpectable fact.
I suppose next book report would be harder than the last time but I want to try with my best, hoping that happy incident like this time would happen.

To Yuuka (two things to tell you)

Good morning, everyone!  It's Shinnosuke.
I was surprised to find that Yuuka had left a lot of comments to the members' posts.
Commenting something to other members' posts is becoming a new tendency.
Thank you for commenting to my post (Good Product).
I want to add some other things about that and comment to one of your posts.

First, your idea about that product is good, I think.
You said that your grandmother couldn't remember where she put stuff.
My grandfather cannot remember, either, so that product may be helpful for them.
To my great disappointment, my mother said she had bought it at a 100 yen shop whose other shops exist only in Niigata.
However, your hometown is Nagano, and Niigata is not far from Nagano, so it might be nice to visit Niigata if you like and have time.
Sorry...
Second, my favorite is Tonarinototoro.
Since my childhood, it has been my favorite.
When I was a kindergarten child, I watched it so many times that the video tape (at that time) was almost broken (lol).
I like the three types of Totoro, especially large Totoro.
I remember having my parents buy a very big stuffed toy of large Totoro.
That's why I want to go to Ghibli Museum in Mitaka someday, but maybe the museum provides only all-reserved tickets...

the wonderful day

Yesterday, I went to Showa Commemorative National Government Park with my best friend from elementry school.I had dozed off before that day and woke up at the time I have to leave home.(omg)
...Leave that aside and let's talk about the wonderful day I had.

Anyway, red and yellow leaves were too beautiful. I always wanted to go to see them but I didn't have a chance, so it was a good opportunity for me. When I see tinted autumnal leaves, I feel the Japanese mind. We rode on a boat around the broad lake. The lanscape was terrific and my mind got clear.
After that, we found a cycling and went for a bike ride. It was my first time to ride on a tandem. Along riding in a speed, I felt the wind nice and like singing. Riding on a bike was a long separation for me, but I guess I haven't forgot how to ride it ; )

Then, we went to Ebisu to see illuminations at that mind. There was a little Christmas market and lots of things were sold. I wanted a crystal ornament but I stand it and bought two cute table matts. The chandelier was so big and sparkling. We ate okonomiyaki at the 38th floor...wow, we could see Shibuya diagonal crossing. It very stands out in the darkness.
Well, I had a full and luxury day, so I have to work a lot of things hard from tomorrow.

my will

Gooooooood Evening : )

I'm in a high spirit for no reason right now...maybe because of the wonderful time I had yesterday.
I' ll write that on the next post, so this time I want to talk about my thought for English.

My first encounter to English was when I was five years old. I went to Canada because of my father's transfer. It was my first time to go abroad and I didn't had any skills of speaking English. It was totally new for me. However, I got used to English very soon and before I knew it, English was in part of my life.
After I came back to Japan, I tried hard to keep my English abilities. I went to English cram schools and I hated to lose in English tests at school, so I studied very hard.
Unfortunately, after I entered this university, I fell ill and couldn't afford to go to school. Because of that, I had almost one year gap of English. Though I'm taking medicines every day, I feel enjoyment of going to school and studying English. Right now, I have an interpretation class and learning how to interpret in simple English or japanese. Interepreting is very difficult but I think it helps me with my future job. I have many dreams, but which way I choose, I want to use English as my weapon.
For now, an announcer is the closest. I won't lose.

the Cock Fair (Torinoichi)

The Cock Fair was held in my home town. It is held for two or three times a year, and it has been important august event for me since I was child.

But I could not take time to enjoy it today because I did part time job. So I only pass through the fair.
There were a lot of  street stalls and so crowded.  I took the picture of the most crowded street. At the street, thousands of Kumade were sold and shop owners cheer customers who bought it to pray their success in their business. I like the atmosphere of this street.

Though I did not buy anything, my father bought family Okonomiyaki.
It was delicious.

I want to enjoy it more next year.

GD×TAEYANG

I'm sorry for being late. On November 21th, something big for me happened. you know what?

Good boy music video was unveiled! This song is sung by GD and TAEYANG. They are member of BIGBANG. G-DRAGON is a rapper and TAEYANG is a main vocal. They started working as a new unit. Actually, they have been friends with each other since they were 13 years old. They are best friends, so they must make good music! I'm very exciting to see this new unit. I'm going to go to BIGBANG's live on December 7th at Fukuoka. I'm looking forward to seeing them! I hope they will sing good boy at the live;)

Enjoying Korean Food with My Friend

Yesterday, I met my high school friend. She visited Aoyama Festival but at that time, we didn’t have enough time to talk. So, I was glad to have a chance to talk with her.

We gathered at Shinagawa Station. In Shinagawa Station, there was a Korean restaurant which my friend recommended so we headed for it.

The restaurant wasn’t too large and it had a quiet atmosphere. We sat at a counter and looked at menu. I was irresolute but I ordered bibimbbap. This bibimbbap used sixteen grain rice instead of white rice. There were also salad and soup. They were very delicious.

We talked about various occurrences for a long time and I enjoyed chatting with her. I felt relaxed during that time so I think meeting friends is important thing for me and everyone, too.

The welcome party

I joined in the welcome party of the Adviser group this Tuesday. It was held at the Indian restaurant.

I enjoyed chatting with my friends and members of upperclass. In fact, I'm not good at talking with the people who I met for the first time. But they talked to me so kindly, so I could be relaxed.

And I also enjoyed eating Indian dishes like curry, naan, tandoori chicken, and Lassi. Green curry and the chicken was so spicy! It was hard for me to eat all of them, but I could because Lassi helped me. It was precious chance for me to eat other country's food, so I was very excited!!

Lighting Ceremony

Good evening! I am so happy because this week has passed! It was very hard days for me because I had to do many homeworks.

By the way, I felt much happier this Monday. I joined in the lightning ceremony held in Yokohama. It was the event of the movie " Miracle debikurokunn no koi to mahou". It is the love story of 4 people in the christmas. I have been looking forward to watching it since last year because my favorite actor, Masaki Aiba, plays its main character. In fact, I expected him to come to the ceremony as the surprise guest. So I decided to join it that morning.

When I arrived at the hall, there were so many people already. So the stage was far away.

And amazingly, the 4 casts appeared on the stage as I expected!!!!!!! I cannot see them clearly, but they, especially Masaki Aiba, seemed to be shining. He waved to us with the big smile, and we screamed. He greeted gently, and often set the audience laughing with his chatting with the other casts. And he wore the red Christmas cap, which was very cute, and turned on the illumination with our countdown. The tree was so beautiful.

It was only about 15 minutes, but I was so happy and encouraged by him.

The movie will be released tomorrow. I cannot wait the day to watch it.
I visited there again to take this picrure!

My mother's birthday

Yesterday was my mother's birthday. I wanted to prepare good present for her, but I didn't have time. So I bought Karamucho, which is her favorite snack, and pudding of matcha after class. When I came home, my father suggested that we eat out. We thought it was a good idea and decided to do it. She requested to go to ramen shop. We enjoyed eating it and congraturated her. I think I should have taken some pictures, but I forgot to do it. I hope she had a good time yesterday.

To Shinnosuke

I want the white tree! Im serious! kk
It looked useful
i think me and my grandmother need it really.( we live together now, only two of us)
The reason why is that my grandmother is always upset in front of the door before she leaves our house......
she cannot remember where she put her key!
So I think she will like it and will not have to be upset every time.

When it comes to me, the reason is that I'm sometimes irritated because of my entangled necklaces!
And they are entangled absolutely when i don't have time...i know...
Maybe it was made for my necklaces lol
Anyway, i thought it should be installed to my home
And also i like its cute appearance:)

To Yu

Have you ever eaten Aporo soft cream?
The flavor is my favorite one! but of course i like milk tea, too♡
I ate soft cream with my friends between classes almost everyday last year during Summer season!at Sagamihara
Actually, in twitter i even followed the account that gives information about today's soft cream and checked it  lol
However, i havent ever tried any of them at Aoyama campus...;(

To Hideaki

To Ayaka

Hayao Miyzaki

Which movie do you like among Studio Ghibli's movies?
As for me, Majyonotakkyu-bin is the best:)
Anyway, Im watching SenntoChihironoKamikkushi now on TV.
The program is broadcasted as celebration for an Academy Award winning creator, Hayao Miyazaki.
I really love his movies so I was glad to hear the news of his winning.
I hope that he continue to make fantastic movies!

The Evening with Dream Theater in Tokyo

Today Im talking about great show which was taken place one month ago. My favorite band , Dream Theater came to Japan while their world tour named "Along for The Ride 2014". Dream Theater is American progressive metal band and this year is their 29th year of their career.
The first time that I listened to Dream Theater is 8 years ago,and I have listened to it every day. Their songs are absolutely technical and sophisticated. There are a lot of difficult rhythm patterns and they played them completely. This concert was my second times and it was amazing.

Delicious Indian Food

This Tuesday, I joined the party which was held by Obari Adviser Group. This party was held for freshmen who took part in this group from the latter period. The number of participants was almost twenty.

We gathered after fifth period and went to the restaurant. This restaurant was Indian restaurant. I had hardly visited it so I was excited.

The atmosphere of the inside of the restaurant was nice. Then, we ordered set menu. We could choose drink so I chose lassi. It was because I had drunk it once and it tasted good. This restaurant’s lassi also tasted good.

After a while, dishes were served. There were salad, rice, tandoori chicken and two kinds of curry on the plate. One of them was seafood curry and the other was vegetable curry. In addition to this, there was a big naan. They were very delicious.

We also enjoyed chatting. I was glad to talk with seniors and friends. I had a very good time at the party.

Strawberry Picking Plan:)

During the winter vacation or spring vacation, I’m thinking some plans about strawberry picking in my hometown. My hometown is famous for the produce of strawberry.

Some of my friends like it very much and they said they wanted to challenge it someday, so I’m going to make this plan it out.

Aoyama’s spring vacation is really long, so I’m looking forward to imaging what I’ll do from now. Maybe in the winter, I cannot stay at my parent’s house so long, so I’ll invite my university’s friends to the strawberry picking in the spring vacation.

Dinner Meeting

Last Tuesday, I enjoyed having dinner with members of Obari Adviser Group at the Indian restaurant. I was one of the members since the early semester, but from the letter period, many students had joined. So I was really glad to make a lot of friends at that dinner meeting.

At the restaurant, Indian chef showed us great hospitality, and gave us nice service in order to have a good time. I didn’t like the spicy foods, but I could try the taste. Curry and Nan were delicious.

At the end of month, my mother will come to my apartment, so I’m planning to take her to that restaurant, because my mother likes curry and rice. I’ve never been to that restaurant, so if there are any opportunities to eat out with my friends, I’m going to have the meal.

A Christmas Carol

Thank you for your reply, Dr. Armstrong.

I think I’ve got it. I wish I’ve written a good one.

Anyway, it’s a bit strange feeling for me that I’ve been thinking a lot about Christmas even though it’s still mid-November. Dickens’ A Christmas Carol and both two movies I watched are all so fantastic that I’ve been completely drawn into them.

I have nothing to do in this Christmas as usual, but I guess I will be at home and have delicious meals with my family, which the stories told me is something special and essential.

I wish all of us have a great Christmas.

…It seems it was too early to talk about Christmas…

I like milk tea. So when Aogaku soft ice cream was milk tea taste before, I really wanted to eat it. But I couldn't eat it then because there is a long line  to buy it and I had no time to get in the line. I had a crass. So I felt sad. I have waited that milk tea taste soft ice cream was sold. From Monday to Wednesday, it was sold!! I was so happy and soon decided to eat it. It was very delicious. I ate it twice for that three days. If it is sold again, I want to eat!!!

Festival in Koganei driving school

Hi! I'm going to write about last Sunday. Festival held in Koganei driving school. I performed there. We danced with pompon and baton. I saw children who performed with pompon. Some of them seemed  3 or 4 years old. They were so cute!! I twirled baton and didn't drop it. So I was happy. I enjoyed performing. But I felt lonely because it was the last performance before regular concert. I received lunch. It was fried chicken lunch and very good. We 1st graders  went to eat ice cream. We talked for a long time. I really enjoyed and like my friends. I'm looking forward to practicing with them.

Uncommon 10 Yen Coin

It's Shinnosuke, again.
I want to finish this week's blog as early as possible, for I have many other things to do.

When I went to a supermarket near my house two or three days ago, I got a 10 yen coin as my change whose side wasn't flat like 50 yen or 100 yen coin.
This type of a little unusual 10 yen coin is called "Gizaju" in Japanese.
I am not sure when I started collecting this type of coin, but since then I've collected them.
In addition, I make it a habit to see whether I've received "Gizaju" or not whenever I get 10 yen coins as my change!
There might be people who think that "Gizaju" isn't so worth collecting or it's not uncommon.
However, it is obvious that the number of "Gizaju" is much smaller than that of normal 10 yen coins, so I continue to collect "Gizaju."

To Miharu

It's Shinnosuke.
Last week, I read your post and decided to comment.
It's a little late, but let me comment.

My bad habits?  Of course I have.  I have many, many bad habits because I'm a human.
First, like your habits, I may be poor at doing assignments or something in well-planed ways.
I mean I tend to be lazy and start to do those things very late.
I really want to improve this habit, but it's so difficult probably because we originally have this tendency somewhere in our parts.
Nevertheless, sometimes I complete some assignments in a well-planed way and spend the day before their deadlines very easily, so I don't know well which tendency I have.
Second, more seriously, I study only my favorite subjects.
As some of you know, I've got a so bad, too bad score in one class, and it is now so hard not to fail.
This is because of one of my habits.
I would often be said from my homeroom teacher in high school "Stop studying English and study Japanese!!!"
That's why I envy someone who can spend equal time in everything.
Third,
Forth,
Fifth,...
It lasts almost forever, so I stop here.

Good Product

Hi, this is Shinnosuke.
Dr. Armstrong, thank you for your reply.  Today, I want to write about a product.

First, do you know the white-colored product in the first picture?
About ten days ago, my mother sent me a package, and it included this product.
At first, I thought "What?  What will I use this for?  She's sent me a strange stuff again!  It must be useless and takes up space."
However, a note from her was attached to the product, and it said "I bought this at a 100 yen shop, and I also have one and use it at the entrance, so how about using this at the entrance or somewhere?  If you don't like, send it back," so I decided to use it at the entrance of my home.
Once I started to use it, I gradually came to like it because seen well, it looks like a tree covered with much snow, it fits to this season, and decorating this is very interesting for me.
Now, some items are put in it.
Even a 5 yen coin is added at the top!
This product has become a good product for me.

How to Write Seven Literary Terms

Hideaki and Shinnosuke (and everyone)

The idea of the seven literary terms is to identify them simply and clearly (and specifically). Just list them (without numbering them) before the Summary, going to the next line and double-spacing between each. If you want to write each as a complete sentence, you can, but just putting them in phrases like "Setting- 1940s British Columbia" is fine.

For symbols, give several examples if you can. Ex. "Snow White's red rose is a symbol of romantic love. The poison apple is a Christian symbol of Original Sin (like Eve tasted in the Garden of Eden)"

Hideaki, your reference should treat the story as one would a magazine or newspaper article, as a PART of a larger source. So:

Author. "Title of Story". Title of Whole Book. City where published: Publishing company,
     year published.

Hope that helps and clarifies. Looking forward to your good reports. Blog on!
