about Modern Times

This famous movie's setting is in the factory whose environment is extremely bad. And it was during great depression.

The conflict was between the main character, chaplin and the company or the police. But he enjoyed going to jail because the life in jail was really comfortable.

The climax of this movie is that chaplin live with his girlfriend together happily.

An absolutely terrible environment in the factory symbolized the circumstance of that generation around 1930. I could understand how bad the situation was from the scene in the factory.

The irony is that chaplin could live even if he lost the jobs many times. He had have never felt depression about his situation and enjoyed it.

The theme is that we have to be positive while any situations. Thinking about only happy things will help the bad situation.
