The setting is America in 1930s. Conflict is Charlie vs society. Symbol in the film is a red flag. Red flag is a symbol of leader of the Demonstration. The climax of the film is Charlie and her girlfriend go to other place to be free. Irony is Charlie help people in the jail and released, however, he wanted to go back to jail and bilked on a restaurant bill. i think the theme of this film is to have a strong will against society and have a hope to be happy.
