I will write about 7 literary terms of Modern Times.
In the last class, I really enjoyed this movie and laughed a lot.
Setting: in a factory, during Great Depression
Point of View:
Conflict: There is a conflict between human nature and civilized society.
Climax: The climax of this movie is when they come to be attracted by each other and start to live together.
Symbols: One of the symbols is advanced machines. They stand for the loss of human creativity. Another is the fragile cottage they live in. It represents how hard it was to have a job and earn money at that time.
Irony: The developed machined were invented for more convenience, but they ended up making human stressed and go crazy.
Theme: Be careful not to rely exclusively on civilized life.
