Modern Times

I'll write about Modern Times. I think about six literary terms, except point of view. Setting of the story is in America in 1930's. Conflict is between Charlie Chaplin and the police. He has a conflict against the society in that time. He ran away from the police. Climax is that he became a waiter and danced, singing a song in French. Symbol is house. It represents wealth. Roller skates are also symbol in this story, I think. They represent freedom. Irony is that he wanted to stay at a prison. He helped a woman who stole bread and even behaved gratefully. Theme of this story is people are controlled by the machines and people lose their dignity.
