The color purple

   Hi, it's been a while sine I wrote a blog last time. Anyway, this time  I'd like to write about the book I chose to write a book report. I selected 'the color purple'. The reason why I chose this kind of book is that acutually I am a student of English and American literature and study such racial matter at class. So I think I will understand deeply about racial background of the world by reading this book. This book is written by Alice Walker in 1982 and won a National Book Award for Fiction. It was later adopted both film and musical. This story is mostly taking place in Gorgia ; the city with terrible racial discrimination occurred in those days. And a girl  who bore a child at the very young age  struggle against discrimination.
I think it's a little bit difficult for me, but I 'll do my best to enjoy reading this book and  understanding  racial background.
