The look

The story is located in the Third Avenue and happened in a regular night. The point of view is omniscient. The conflict is the girl against herself. The climax is when the young man hits to a telephone pole because that is the time when she thought better of dying. I think the symbol of this story is the ugly gun-metal grey bridge. It symbolizes the girl's feeling. The irony is that although he hit hits himself, he actually saved her life. The theme of this story is I think we should never forget that something we haven't predicted would happen and that might change our situations from a bad one to a good one. The point is that we should never give up.
